Great video. There are definitely risks involved and buying a cabin on a cruise ship is not for everyone. Definitely don't do it if you can't afford to lose your investment if the company goes belly up, you change your mind, or you develop health issues. It may turn out to be the best thing you ever did, or not.
Thank you for sharing your thoughtful perspective! We agree, it's not for everyone, and there are risks and uncertainties for sure. We are eyes open and enjoying the ride. Glad you’re sharing it with us:)
Personally wouldn't touch this rust bucket with a barge pole and I've sailed and owned boats for over 40 years. However it's your personal choice and I hope it works for you.
Good summary of the major risks. Another risk is that the ship may not be able to be certified for entry to Antarctica or the United States, so major destinations may have to be bypassed.
Hey. Yes, there are risks that getting some places on the intended itinerary like Antarctica are not finalized and have additional requirements to do so. There are for sure other risks and things that may change as well that we are yet unaware of. Clearly we have to roll with things as this evolves. Glad you’re coming along and thanks for the comment.
@zeta802 that could happen and that would not be good. Same could’ve happened at our co-op at home. We think the key is being good neighbors ourselves.
Thanks much! Yes, life is about taking the right and balanced risks for you. We are happy so far, and know there will be some challenges but are excited about the future.

I think its a great idea, and wish I could join you! ❤👌🚢🚢🚢
That would be cool!
You may hate your shipmates directly to the left, right or across the hall from you. And just like bad neighbors, that would suck.

There are risks,BUT, I like the idea and I hope the endeavor is successful. I think I would like to try it but it boy do 6 months of the year.

Ship is 30 years old
@laural1165 yes and they put a lot of work into her to keep her going. Heck we still feel pretty good in our 50s and 60s! Lol
