Chesil Beach, with its 18-mile stretch of shingle, offers some of the best shore fishing in the UK.
Despite feeling under the weather, the call of the waves and the promise of a good catch couldn't keep me away.

Great video wayne, Chesil has been hard work for me, 7 sessions over June 3 blanks 🤣🤣, plenty of hounds to 8.8lb, straps, very hard going, tried for rays no luck.plenty of spiders though. All people I've spoke to saying it's not fishing well at the moment but got to be in it as they say. Can't comment on maccy ds as on keto diet 🤣🤣. Looking forward to next video. 👍👍.

@TheShoreHunter same as you wayne, got the dreaded thing that we are not allowed to talk about in 2021 nearly got wiped out wound up it gave me COPD & M.E. Always gasping for oxygen 🤣🤣. Keep up the good work mate, iam now back up in North Norfolk which apparently has been fishing well soon will shall see. Take care mate 👍👍.

Hi Wayne AFAW are the rods I constantly use now I’ve 2match pros and 2 tournament match pro and the tournament I use for most of my fishing from cod to hounds 200g lead it flys and the tips are lovely and sensitive in the tide hope you enjoy yours

Fantastic watch as always Wayne! I fished the ‘big pebble’ end 😁of the beach 1st week in June, strong winds in the face, rain on and off most of the day, thankfully the wind kept drying things off. Anyway, the main action was stripped baits and surgically removed hooks so tried a pop up rig and caught my first ever 3lb 13oz thick lipped mullet on Chesil…. Which is why I watch your vids and try to fish Chesil a couple of weeks each year, cos you just never know and it’s addictive in a good way, the view is amazing, I could go on…. Thanks for all of your efforts and hope you’re both fully recovered from the lurgy and the festival 😁👍

Having watched your recent videos I decided on a trip down from Suffolk. I fished three short evening sessions around 4 hrs each and had 11 hounds to 9lb, dogs, bream and straps. The straps were a real nuisance after dark. My wife came along on the last session and had a 9lb 4oz hound but she also got fed up with the number of straps. Out of 12 hounds only two were under 5lb so it was great sport especially being able to see them making runs as you brought them in. We both tried for a ray but nothing doing on that score.

@@TheShoreHunter It's not really 'taking' the wife as she was an international for over 20 years. It is a great sport to share though although somewhat competitive at times between spouses or partners lol.

I will never fathom how u manage to catch every visit I've spent years down there and caught nothing but a cold and a suntan 😂
It's all smoke and mirrors, he only ever catches seagulls and dogfish, he uses the same dogfish over and over in front of a green screen, not quite sure what he was doing in a lay by that early in the morning.

Fished a couple of hours down to low, like you, completely unexpected... A smooth hound at low..... Atleast I didn't blank.

Brilliant vid hope you start to feel more your self soon and of course get your sense of smell back. Quick question I’m looking at buying a shelter and I can not decide between the snug and igloo. Apart from weight and price what would you say was the ideal one for chisel as that’s where I go the most.
The snug is for day sessions and long walks and the igloo or bigloo is for comfort 🙌
