Heinrich Kremer's book THE SILENT REVOLUTION IN CANCER AND AIDS MEDICINE makes mention of the impact of emotional state on healing. It's a great reference (though a bit technical) and also supports the Rethinking AIDS model.

I was diagnosed in 1987 and refused AZT and they gave me 18 months to live. So I said I guess I am going to die from HIV! I took no medication because if I was going to die I wanted to know it was because of HIV... Once you start medication you go down a rabbit hole! Then you don't know what is the medication causing or HIV. It's been 32 years and I got tired of waiting to get sick so I just lived my life.... Now I'm 62!

Donald Iannotti I said it once and I said it again, you have an amazing story. I wish it had been that easy for me. But although I also had a death wish, in a suicide attempt I became aware of a separate mind or a higher consciousness. Since then, and thanks to HIV I’ve been sort of obsessed with the healing processes between Mind, Body & Emotions.
But I’m so so very happy for you and I would love to have a Zoom chat with you. I have so many questions for I’d like to ask you.
