The corn Colton has removed from the cob was very interesting. I love the variation in the colors. Its great to see a young man who is learning how to provide food for his family. The squash is something I had never seen before dried. Just very interesting.
Hello, when I was young we always called that Indian corn. I’ve never heard of Danny corn. So now you are saving that for planting for next year? The chickens eat those big kernels? I would think they’d get chocked. Oh so you don’t eat the squash? I would eat the squash. lol a spoon would’ve helped you clear the seeds. I think. Have you ever seen the watermelon/cucumber plant? I don’t know if they are fruit or veggy. Apparently they are sour. Thank you.
This is corn that we purchased from Danny & Wanda at Deep South Homestead. Their new channel is Pecan Grove. He has developed this corn seed over the years. I am saving it for planting in the future, but probably not next year. I think next year we will plant sweet corn, because by then I expect we will be running low in the freezer. The corn can be cracked for the chicken, but I did not include that in the video. We do eat lots of the squash, but the squash I took the seeds out of I let mature longer than the squash we eat. & once picked I let it set for several days before collecting the seeds. A spoon would have made quicker work! I have never heard of that plant. Thanks for watching!
Good video, no waste at all. Use every bit of it.
That is right!
