Leo was definitely managing his lower % on purpose. He would get hit up to 15-20% by fireballs each stock then never get hit by one again... until his next stock. Crazy crazy stuff.

Elegant really gave into Leo's hype as well as skill in this set. This is the same man that would play an upwards of 3 to 5 games against one of the best Richter players around in T3 dome with Luigi and would even cop a set off of him here and there; that's why Leo shook his head because he knew in his mind that Elegant had given up. I can see him securing a summit spot playing a part in why he just went yolo game 3, but he took him to a last stock situation game 2 so he could've at least risked it all with his main.
The way MKleo was playing with constant pressure, nair to auto cancel to forward tilt etc. That range against Luigi’s stats just don’t allow him to punish these attacks. Very minimal risk for Byleth, it was just outside the realm of possibility for any Luigi player to win. There’s just no openings, anything else would be just too telegraphed or just useless. It is what it is.
I noticed that Elegant struggled to get around Byleth's fair a lot in this set. He would frequently try to roll behind him but Leo would just f tilt or nair him in the process. He would also try using fireballs to beat out the move but the disjoint would prevail and stuff out the move. Personally, I think dash back pivot grab or Parrying would be the choice for luigi, as grab has superb range and parrying gives frame advantage of course, like if he aligns it right he could get an up b. Well we will see what he does at Summit 4!!!

Winning game 1 isn't something to be happy about when you go against Leo. It seems that he uses it to pick up on habits and adapts accordingly to game 2 and 3.
Get-up attack is slow and can be punished quite hard if you know what you're doing. When your opponent is Leo's Byleth, get-up attack is a free punish cause he can just outspace it and put you back in disadvantage.
Well it depends for the person. I know fatality was trying sora because he hoped it would help for maister/g&w. In this case it just looked like a hailmary though

Because they think he’ll be like a normal broken dlc and be easily capable to bail them out. But Sora’s more honest than that, you need to get in a rhythm with him and he’s not an easy secondary, certainly not so early on.
