- Hey Manga Enthusiasts! Welcome to my first ever unboxing video!
I have always been a huge fan of Dragon Ball and so I had to collect the Manga series. In this video I give you my initial impressions and thoughts on the 3 in 1 VIZ collection and why I also purchased the Dragon Ball Z Complete Box Set!

I think the 3-in-1s have a lot of pros. The binding on them meshes well with the light paper and makes for a much more comfortable reading experience. For instance pages will rest a lot easier without you having to hold the book open like the single issues. And because of this there'll be a lot less damage and stress caused to the spine than extended reading on the single versions. I think if the 3-in-1s had the thicker paper they'd degrade really badly.
But the caveat is the feeling of quality. There's a lot of light going through because of the thin paper so you can often see both sides of the page when reading which can be distracting. But on the other coin I think the 3-in-1s translated the "colour" pages better into black and white than the single issues. The single issue versions of Toriyama's coloured pages just wind up being overly dark and lose a ton of detail; while the 3-in-1s with their lighter use of ink show off this detail a lot better.
They're not perfect but the 3-in-1s do have some good qualities I feel a lot of people overlook. I also just really like that the whole series is viewed as "Dragonball".

@@mangashelf4891 the 3 in 1 editions for Bleach are also very thin and newspaper like.

Love the unboxing and loving your channel! Would you suggest for me to not get the 3 in 1's and just get the individuals / boxsets for the OG db and same thing with dbz?
Well since making this video i have found that you can get the collection both DB and DBZ in the VIZBIG edition! This for me is probably the best version to get although it will take up some space. Nothing can beat the boxsets as they come with some extra goodies! I'll make a video on the VIZBIG editions soon! Hope this helps!

If u want a good 3 in 1 for dbz or db then get the viz big set
But the other ones are my favourite 😅
I dont care about papper quality i care about art work and the cover is really cool omnibus is my favorite
I feel like 3n1 are better but then every one has preference since i just started collecting manga i like the 3n1 since it’s easy and cheaper to collect the set better🤙🏼 i just need the other 3 volume of dragon ball and im finished and on to dragon ball z 🤙🏼

@@hyper7098 i have 3 3in1 and their spines are super bad....the book bulges out...i m okay with paper but the spine bending and bulging 😶

@@hyper7098 no ...i stopped buying...i will now only buy deluxe or singles...even if it takes me more time to collect..(currently have ordered a deluxe hardcover of vinland saga arrives next week)

Are the 3 in 1 volumes censored? I'm thinking about getting the manga and the price of every volume is really low so i don't really care about the paper quality (as long as you can read without problems) but I know that a lot of English editions have strong censorship, is the 3 in 1 highly censored?
It's advertised as "Uncensored", I believe some of the 1st printings do have a little bit of censorship but VIZ stated that this has been changed since the first printing. Either way the 3 in 1's are the least censored English version on the market right now.

14 volumes original dragon ball and dragon ball z
I knew the difference so I'm just going for individual instead of omnibuses
What is the difference? I'm thinking of individual because it costs a lot less than the box sets
