Could you please make a video or give some details on how to replace the tube for the rear tire on mi 4 lite 2nd gen . I find it very difficult to disassemble the rear tire
stuff that. pair of gloves, drop tyre in boiled water for a bit, then use one one of those very mild spray glues that are actually quite slippy when wet. Then just wipe the excess with a mild solvent. good until you need to replace.

It’s dangerous to use grease or oily stuff. In case of a emergency break the tire can slipped and turn on the wheel. Better use Dish Soap full washable and not slippery. And you can do the tire in the oven by 50celsius for 5-7min than you can stretch it easier. 👍🏻
My method was - held the tire in hottest my faucet can get for 5 minutes and then solidered it on using brute force and a help of screwdriver leverage. No lube or anything. Got it done in 5-10 mins.
My cable is fully attached to motor and controller I can’t remove wheel like this one . I have to do puncture while cable attached it’s a challenge lol but doable
Where is the rest of the scooter? How do you disconnect the wire? How do you put it in a vice without crushing the threads on the hub? So many questions!
So to disconnect the wire, you remove the motor. On the downward-facing side is a plate with 6 screws. Remove those screws then push the wheel into the ground to lift up the plate. Afterwards push the wheel into the ground hard, as that will lift the motor enough for you to grab it and pull it out. Now your wheel will be in the same state as in this channel. Btw. the vice isn't gripping onto any threads, there aren't any threads left, after you remove the motor. It's just the emply rim
@@Fachura_ mines wasn't the honey comb one which I think made it abit harder to put on, It took me about 6hrs in total putting on the wheel since I was using raw materials and yeah I ended up having to boil it and I got it on but it kinda ruined the color strips detail that were on mines. But damn it was worth it and plus it made me learned a new technique of putting on the wheel which will take less time the next time I put a solid tire on
@@Fachura_ indeed I did, I just didn't have a place to hold everything in place like you did so it was really hard stopping it from popping out from the opposite side I was fitting the tyre
they have rims split down the middle, so you just set either side into the tire well and work the bolts down in like a 2-5, 10-7 pattern on a clock to suck it tight together. Much easier.
Thanks for the bench vice idea! I still had to use three large flatblade screwdrivers to pry it on, and soapy water to lube it, and a rubber mallet to seat it. Advice for others: use a copper face on your vice jaws to avoid buggering the axle flats.

Ok, now I only need to build more muscles in a year or two before 😂
petroleum based lubes could degrade/breakdown tire material, also temporarily reduce grip on road. best to use soapy water solution.
Made it seem so easy without the tire being in hot water 🤣🤣

this is not recommended as you will need to wash well, preferably something that is water-soluble

I want to know what type of lube you used
Mine tire isn't that bendable, I can't get it back on
Then put for a little bit to hot water it my help
I used a screw driver and got it on, thank you. Also I just used all of the strength to force it on like crazy and got it on
The local bikeshop here in town put the wheel in the microwave 2 minutes, 1 minute on each side.
Mines. Not setting all the way

Thanks mate
bruh
What about boiling it first for 10 minutes
Or just pay a shop to do it
there only is electric breaking on the front wheel. there is no way it could develop that amount of force.
Don't use a lubricant like this. The tire can slip when breaking and it will use more battery energy as the tire slips around the wheel.
This MF gotta hit gym at least 5 times every minute damn it took 3 of my mates and I to struggle one of those on
How is it all these poxy youtubers think everyday normal people have these tools by the toaster in the kitchen ?
Yeah, I don't have anything holding it in place like that.
if you do not even have a simple vise in your home, bring your wheel to a professional for them to change your tires.
Forgot to mention that you need to boil the tyre!
i don't do it

I microwaved the tire. Boiling water didn’t work as well. ✌️
Whats the spray you are using ? If WD40 I think it could be dangerous... but looks like very easy and fast. Anyway I prefer to heat tire ...
I use Interflon
Lube TF (aerosol)
but anything that gives a slip might do

Ok so my instructions say to boil the wheel at 100° for 20min, do I need to do that so it can be more stretchy?

Best lube is tiny amount of dish soap in some water use minimal soap a few drops only. Windex will also work well for this one.
