Sherpa are historically Tibetan... during the era of King songtsen Gompo Sherpas were sent to Nepal whereas Sherpas stayed there for a long time ... so Nepali culture influenced sherpa culture including Language.....You can easily Sherpa cultural dress is 100% same to the Tibetan one... songs are also similar... language almost same.. just sherpa language is lil bit influenced by Nepali language.. I feel sad that thesedays there are very few sherpa language speaking people... Most have forgotten the language... they just keep saying ' I am proud to be sherpa' not knowing sherpas history, language etc....
