การสอนที่ดีที่สุด คือการทำให้ดู เด็กเลยจำที่จะไปปฏิบัติกับพ่อแม่ของตน

หลายครั้งที่ได้ยินคนที่คนไทยกันเองพูดว่า คนไทยอย่างนั้นคนไทยอย่างนี้ และก็หลายครั้งที่เถียงไม่ออก แต่ในหลาย ๆ แง่มุมมันเป็นแง่มุมที่ดีมาก มากว่าใครในโลก ผมไม่อยากให้พวกเราเปลี่ยนไปเป็นแบบฝรั่ง วิกฤตโควิดมันพิสูจน์หลายอย่าง วิถีเรา ดีกว่าวิถีตะวันตก หลายอย่าง เราใช้การไหว้ในการทักทาย เราไม่มีวัฒนธรรมใส่รองเท้าในบ้าน ภูมิปัญญาเหล่านี้ปกป้องเราจากโรคร้าย ขอแค่พวกเรารักกัน เราไม่น้อยหน้าใครในโลกแน่นอน
This ad affected me real hard, because the story resembles my situation when I was taking of my Mom who had dementia and finally alzheimers. Angelina you must know what I'm talking about when I say, you have to be patient, loving and caring to take care of your mom. Taking all the necessary steps to keep her safe from falling or having a accident at home. I had to take a lot of days off from my job to take care of her. Once I was at work, when she walk out of our house and wondered into a busy highway. Lucky my neighbor who was a police officer spotted her while on patrol. So he pick her up and took her to the station. At the time I was also on patrol when I got a call from my sergeant telling to report back to the station. All he said that it was about my mother. I immediately reported to the station PDQ. Thanks God she's alright.
From then on I hired a homecare nurse and a home care lady to stay with her and feed her and watch her. It 's hard to watch your mother with alzheimer. She looks to you and don't recognized you.It was hard until she passed away. May she rest in peace, love and miss you. S>Y>O>T>O>S>S. L>A>M>Y>V>M>

I was there when my grandma had dementia in her last years...it was painful to see her remember me one second then get scared of me when I walked in the home, but my mom would say it's you grandson ...... . I could see in her eyes searching thru her memory and then slowly but steadily remembering me and then smiling at me and putting her hands out to give me hug. I'm blessed to me able to be next to her till her last breath...she said in her last breath "always remember and trust Allah almighty (god) for all your life and help others wherever you are and then she let go...her legacy will stay in my heart and for generations till I meet her one day... remember respect and love with open hearts and arms...

Here in Asia, We as a family should take care of our elderly. We don’t send them to retirement homes. As a Son, I have to take care of my parents, the same way they took care of me when I was still young. Until the end of their time.
niclna Very Asian , i am no offensive about your idea but all of the countries in eastern Asian especially Asean. They have been cultivating to be very dutiful and grateful for being a very good child. I do not want to say that is it bad or good ,otherwise, i just want some of you to think a little bit more about this. What is your purpose for entire life? A S I understand you. Maybe we have different lifestyles. We own a business, Actually it was my grandparents who established this business. It was carried on by my parents and now us. It’s difficult for a working class to take care of their elders, that is why in some parts of Asia like Hongkong or Singapore, they have this nursing home. I’m a Chinese-Filipino, I was born and raised here in the Philippines. Here in the Philippines, most Chinese-Filipino belongs to a well to do family. But I know some Chinese who belongs to the working class group and yet they managed to take care of their parents and sometimes, grandparents.

WHY!!!, because of, if you thought in the parent point of view, no one (your parent) don't won't stuck their child dream or the way to their successful life, they don't won't bother to their child and let they going success, because they understand how hard of the life and living, especially in the big city way of life, this why this sense going lose in Asia country especially high rate of economic development. no one made it but environment and situation did it.

@@SA-hj6xw In someone's parent situation, they have to give up their time and their good opportunity in their life or perhaps all their dreams while having a kid tho. but a surely thing is that mostly of asian parents are put their priority to their child first.
Gratitude isn't like an equally exchanging but make sure to pay them back haphazardly. Gratitude isn't materialistic thing. Gratitude isn't mean one has to sacrifice all one's happiness to one's parent but the way of living with consideration of the other happiness.
Me as a Thai person, I believe that a gratitude is a characteristic of a good person. if one can't be a good person to one's parent then It's only mean that that one's life must be as pitiful as deep shit to let one's so pessimistic.

I used to know two exchange students. They asked me where I live and I said I live in my house with my parents. They laughed at me and asked why I still live with parents that made me feel ashamed. I really want them to watch this and get the answer.
Dont care about them , that is why we have better family bonds .
@@sawsawsaw1111 Thank you to reply my 2 years ago comment :). Last year my dad was detected an ending stage of lung cancer (and later has spread to his brain). My dad become disabled right now but he will have me and my mum to be by his side until the end of his life. I started to work at home and also look after the family business instead of him. It's quite difficult at the beginning but now I'm already familiar with works. The relationship between me and my dad/mum is much closer than before. To think about my 2 years ago comment, I don't feel ashamed anymore but I'm proud of myself.
If somebody would ask me the same question, I'd smile and said I was doing the right thing. :)

In Thailand we look after our parents as they look after us till we are can look after ourselves. We don’t send them to care home or where else because they never think to send ur to where else as well.

I'm Asian and most of us don't sent our parents to a senior/elder home, instead they live with us so we can care for them until the day they're gone... Abandoned your parent is consider a curse/karma in your life because in the future, your kids will do the same to do... We tend to keep our parents with us til the end...

Love all the clips. The title is "How can you measure the value of a person?". The word "กตัญญู" in Thai means grateful in English but in Thai this word means more than just grateful. Usually, we use this word to express the feeling, thought and actions(mostly actions) toward someone or anyone who have done so much for you in your life time like your parents. That's why the word "กตัญญู" is more meaningful beyond than just grateful.
