Yaay 🎉🎉🎉 this calls for jubilation and please we don’t want any more 94 squad as our coaches … we have seen more than enough with them

Don't blame the 94 team Amunike and Nduka Ugbade wére part of the 94 team but have done well so far for the Nigerian national teams both under 17 and under 20.

Finidi, great guy...brilliant player but clueless coach, no charisma, doesn't have the gravitas for this job in other words the job was simply too big for him....QED.

I judge people based on performance, not on sentiment. Finidi was just out of his depth and I salute him for doing the honorable thing.

Finidi is grossly incompetent. His resignation is long overdue. He failed on the job. He lacks players management skill, and he doesn’t command the respect of the players. He introduced bad blood among the players immediately he came in and formed his own gang. During press briefings, he shows lack of confidence. Worst of it all he is blaming everyone else except himself. He is blaming players and NFF officials. He is simply not fit for the job.

For me i think d problem eith mr FINIDI was that he became too familiarized with this players when he was asst. Cosch ...so it did hamper his courage n ability to stand tall on them or command them

The only thing Nigeria will regret is that You Finidi has five matches on your belt with only one point, What A coach, Bye, nobody will miss a failure in football this time around.

Finidi, who stopped you from inviting the right players available, eg, William Troost-Ekong, Ola Aina (the two of them have recovered), Kevin Akpoguna, Jordan Tourinarigha, Kingsley Ehizibue (these are very good defenders), Justin Njimah, Akor Adams etc. Instead, you invited players who will not help us win matches like Awaziem, Tanimu, Ajayi, Ishmael, and Igbokwe (all are sub-standard defenders). You failed to discipline Calvin Bassey (an unserious young man). Ndidi and Iwobi were below par and you still started them. Ihenacho is a shadow of his old self. He should be dropped from the Super Eagles. Finidi as a Super Eagles coach was a product of a currupt system and that system has swallowed him. Good bye my friend.

Bro you hit the nail in the head..This is what i have been echoing, why bring in sub par players like Awaziem, seyi ajayi some useless home based players while we had players like igor ogbo, jordan, Njimah,Ekong, even chidera ejiuke will do serious damage in that midfield, even leon balagon would have done a marvelous job in that defence at the age of 34..Finidi shot himself in the foot.

I had my reservations about Finidi being Coach of the Super Eagles. If Nigeria fails to get to the next World Cup, the NFF should be held accountable and responsible.
It took them so long to name a replacement for Peseiro. They made a wrong choice of picking Finidi. Some reports and Pundits were saying that NFF didn't have the funds to get a foreign Coach but now that a lot of damage has been done to Nigeria's chances of qualifying for the next World Cup, NFF are thinking of getting a foreign Coach! So they now have money abi ? These NFF have been clueless for decades.
I used to call NFA "No Future Ambition". They changed their name to NFF and I will like to call them "No Future Formula" because they NEVER plan ahead!
By God's grace I have been watching and analysing World Football including Nigerian Football since 1982 and I can comfortably say that successive NFA and or NFF are the major culprits and problem of Nigerian Football.🙄

@@Peakpredict I gave reasons in that post. I don't need to analyze anything. If you cannot see my reasons there's no problem. After all it's not compulsory you agree with my opinion, neither is it a must for me to agree with yours. You have your opinion and I have mine.

Finidi George has won 1 uefa champions league cup, 3 league cups, 2 fa cups, 1 uefa super cup, 1 intercontinental cup and 1 African cup of nations. He was the best in the world in his time. He is a legend, full of respect. Bad results can't change who he is. Lampard, xavi etc are examples, but dragging Osimhen and Finidi George on the same sentence alone, is already an insult to Finidi. Napoli know this too, they mocked and insulted him on their own social media page, what did he do? Nothing till date! But he's here backing like a dog, insulting Nigerians and you're there swallowing all the insults from him, what a shame! Well, he shouldn't be invited anymore imo.

Are you kidding me? Was Finidi. Africa's best at any time? Don't give team stats, give personal statistics if you want to compare both men. Your comparison can only be as a result of primordial sentiments.

It's only a vision less NFF that would appoint an indigenous coach for the Super Eagles...
Finidi is not a vocal person, dominant or one who can stand up against corrupt NFF.
No indigenous coach can handle the present eagles because the present team are mostly kids born outside Nigeria, used to almost different culture and way of doing things in terms of the game management.
Indigenous Nigerian coaches will definitely clash with egos in the team (it happened with Keshi, Oliseh, Amunike, Amokachi etc).
No Nigerian coach can offer the expertise, discipline, management and tactical onus (which these crop of players are already used to)
Little details, discipline, player management and tactical vision are important part of present world football and no current Nigerian coach can offer that!
Can you explain why Ahmed still remain team captain?
Do you know why Amokachi turned down their offer?
I won't even be surprised if Finidi was given the job ahead of Amunike due to tribalism..afterall, Amunike already trained Iheanacho and Osihmen...and won the world junior Cup.
Best indigenous Nigerian coach remains Sylvanus Okpalla but he clashed with some of those evil men before and he's an Igbo man!
That evil goatie called Amaju Picnnick doesn't mean well for Nigerian football.

WHY DID NFF NOT RENEW CONTRACT WITH PESEIRO, OR LOOK FOR A GOOD FOREIGN EXPATRIATE TO HANDLE THE NATIONAL TEAM? AT LEAST GIVE THE MANAGER TIME TO BRING THE BEST OUT OF THE BOYS, I BLAME THE NFF FOR EVERYTHING THAT IS HAPPENING TO THE TEAM.

From fry Pan to fire,if Amuneke is given the job it's the worse.Thank God, it's happening now,the NFF should look at Samson Siasia as assistant coach to be bossed by the foreign coach. He resumes August 29 this year and should just be in the team behind the scene working silently before he fully resumes in August as said.Siasia I repeat,Siasia is the best indegenous coach to take over from the foreign coach been contracted. My honest and reasonable submission.

Nigerian don't appreciate their own you failed them, you have to leave. They are not patient. They want good result all the time. there is no room for failure. They forget that life is duality. Failure is part of life, too. They think foriegner will excel than, their own. The foreign coaches will fail too. Even Nigeria is not going to World Cup. They have to go back and build a new national team from Grassroots. Not depending on foreign born player. Look for hungry players. They are not players who don't want to get hurt because of their career.
