Fellow Happy Planner Enthusiast here! I love that you found the planner!!!! Most of us planner girls have TONS of Happy Planner products as well and it can be very overwhelming getting all the things at once. Some of us do by the Expander Discs and keep loose notebook paper there. You could also use a special planner cart or storage system to help. @PlanningWithBumble is my favorite Happy Planner TH-camr and she has a couple videos on the basics that could help answer all the questions regarding layouts, size, storage, etc. Welcome to our community!
The metal discs are awesome. It does get better just by turning the discs on the planner. Or rubbing wax paper on the discs turning half way and doing the other half. Fun planners. Welcome to the club 😎
I went through the exact same thing recently! Abandoned my Erin Condren daily and went down the Happy Planner rabbit hole during their amazing sale. I already have been using their stickers but I wanted more flexibility than a coiled system. I got the camping themed planner and one with boho type vibes. The cool thing is I bought the 9-hole punch and I am franken-planning my EC daily pages into my new Happy Planner system
I get plastic expander disc and an old cover and keep my accessories in one and make one for your filler paper . This way it stays organized . Truthfully I'm passed that point years in so I have a shelf with my filler paper and accessories. One for sticker books and jars with my disc .
Welcome to the Happy side! I got hooked when COVID started and now I have all the things. You don’t need all the things. I’m so hooked, now that I’ve seen what you got, I want to get some of what you have. Noooooo. Stop I don’t need it!
If I read your list of books correctly, I think you like fantasy stories, and there's a great one that I highly recommend which involves a girl who keeps bees - it's called Chalice and it's by Robin McKinley. Hope that if it's your genre of reading, you'll love this one.
I think you’ve converted me to the happy planner lol! I’m thinking it’s going to be my planner choice for 2025. All those stickers and pages are just so cute. 😍
I’m fairly new to discbound as well, what I am doing. Because I don’t have a lot of discs just yet. I got a cheap 3 ring binder from dollar tree & cheap page protectors. I’m keeping all “extras” in there for protection. I found that if I want to “archive” it would be easy to put the important pages back in their respective month/year. I’ve also seen a lot of HP peeps put those labels from planners in the back of their planner / notebooks so they always know what they bought. On your book marks, some have “film” to pull off. I found a clear plastic on some of mine. Scratch proof type situation. For my stickers, I got a dollar tree photo album to put sticker paper in so I can have like a pocket thing you can either slide them in or place stickers directly on to plastic. Best advice for cheap helpful, I went on TEMU they sell discs for Pennie’s on dollar for extra discs. Sets of 25/50/100 cheap. Hope some of this might help
Metal discs, all sizes, and ditch the plastic discs! Fall/Halloween release right around the corner, next Tuesday at 9am PST. If you're going to get a punch, I recommend an ARC punch instead of the HP one. Punch more, easier on the hands and just overall better. Have fun!!!
@@bybun There was a Beetlejuice box recently, I just received it this week.... it's incredible for Halloween time, but unfortunately sold out. Perhaps bits and pieces can be found on resell sites.
I got into happy planner for like 5 seconds years ago.. and then a few months ago saw a cover and the dashboard layout and it had me diving back in a few months ago myself lol excited to see you share your goodies today will pop over to your Patreon for more content on it so keep it coming lol😊
Welcome to the rabbit hole Alice. 😂 love love this video. I’m so excited to see more of how you use your planners ❤ # newfan also you never have to pay full price. Joann’s always has sales so does Michael’s and the HP site often has sales or a sale code with each release. Also lots of second hand sales.
Get extra discs. A set our two of expander discs Buy a couple notebooks (cheaper than the planners and will give you blank paper and covers you can use for storage) I store most of my accessories and packages of paper/ extensions just in their original packages on a shelf (or 5 haha) but you can put everything onto a set of discs (hence the notebooks) and store them that way You can also get a file storage box and file them away by type until you need them.
I love how excited you are on this video. If you don’t use the Cinderella notebook you can put all your filler paper in that one. They just came out with a Beetlejuice Happy Planner box. Their Fall release is coming out this week so Halloween items will probably be in that release.
It's already been said, but HP is so fun, but a slippery slope, haha! I use Hobonichi for almost everything, but HP is my go-to for business organization. Quick tip on the BIG size folders: they won't hold a standard 8.5x11 piece of paper, but other disc-bound brand folders will and they fit with HP just fine. My go-to has been the TUL brand folders at Office Depot. If you think you'll need that in the future, of course. Otherwise, the folders are great for smaller paper sizes. 🙂
Not me seeing this and almost impulsively buying a happy planner even though I just bought many a planner and I also abandon it after the first month! I wish I could stick to planners. I would get so much more stuff done, I am going to try use the one I got but I think this one looks good because it's so customisable!
loooooove the happy planner system for the versatility. with the punch you can print out whatever you want, trackers, new layouts, collages, and put it all in one place. It's amazing. I use expander discs (which are really big discs) for when my planner gets chunky mid year or to store all my lose papers. OH! and there are loads of indie companies that make fun sticker books that fit the system. Some are Live Love Posh (she releases lots of autimn and Halloween themes), mojo jojo plans, cassthetic plans, and kellofaplan. Happy planner stuff is a neverending rabbit hole 😆
I am still wondering around the edge of this rabbit hole..years ago i peaked over the edge but didnt dare to jump. Recently got a punch and some rings but still only dangling my legs over the edge. In europ happy planner isn't widely available let alone its cheap or even on sale so thats a thing to...i would love to see an update or flip through on this here to follow your journey.maybe it will push me over the edge😅😂
I read the title and was like "oh no they got her too.." LOL They got me about 3 years ago. Honestly I mostly love the ring bound system. With the punch I can build what I want and not have to adhere strictly to their products. Its completely customizeable.
Just starting my happy planer journey. How long till I get that meny sticker books😂 and I just edited a couple that will be in SQUARL moad in couple I just edited. Will have to see how people like it.
Easiest way is to store it in another planner. You can keep old covers and discs. I also have a drawer where I keep all of the blank paper. Still need to work on a better solution for storing stickers.
Loving all of the Happy Planner pointers you guys are sharing in the comments...thank you!!

thank you so much!!
Best Happy Planner tip I have..whatever one you are using daily..get the metal disks..they flip the pages 100 % easier. 😊
ooooh yes, I've heard this! adding some to my wishlist...thank you!
The metal discs are awesome. It does get better just by turning the discs on the planner. Or rubbing wax paper on the discs turning half way and doing the other half. Fun planners. Welcome to the club 😎
Avoid the powder coated one as they're too thick and cause the pages to stick. ❤
Awesome tip

The bookmarks have a plastic protective coating you can peel off. I didn’t notice for a long time. 😊
omg I didn't even realize that!
I’m glad it’s not just me! I used a bookmark for almost a full year before I noticed a thin layer was peeling off

whhhaaatt!! omg, I'll check it out - thank you!
@@bybun My pleasure, Roxanne. I really enjoyed your video - great haul!
Oh boy. Happy Planner is a slipppppppppery slope. The only way out is going cold turkey😂😂😂Thanks for the video.
LOL...I'm flying down that slope baby!
I love happy planner - I love being able to add & remove things so it works for me. I still use a hobonichi for my journal. Enjoy this world!
I think you’ve converted me to the happy planner lol! I’m thinking it’s going to be my planner choice for 2025. All those stickers and pages are just so cute. 😍
I've been in it for over a month now, and I'm OBSESSED. it's so fun!

definitely going to swap to metal discs!! I think I spied some in that new Halloween teaser ;)
@@bybun There was a Beetlejuice box recently, I just received it this week.... it's incredible for Halloween time, but unfortunately sold out. Perhaps bits and pieces can be found on resell sites.
I use plastic discs and have never had an issue. 😁
I really like this type of system. I am thinking about getting the punch for creating my own.
I recently got a punch! haven't punched anything yet, but I'm ready hahaha.

Purchase hole punch so you can add you paper bits etc.
yessss! I just got my paws on one :)
I just got my first happy planner this year and am guilty of the rabbit hole too. Not just happy planner either. So many great companies
Get extra discs. A set our two of expander discs

An awesome planner haul! I wish I could stick with using one because these are all so cute. Thank you for sharing!!
I totally get why people have more than one now!

You could get expander discs they come in metal and plastic. Keep all the loose sheets in an extra planner cover with the expander sheets.
I'm definitely going to set this up...thank you!

ooooOOOOoooo...so many handy tips and recommendations - thank you!!
I used to keep my extra Happy Planner things in a small filing box, everything labeled of course 🤓😂
Enjoy
hmmm filing box is a good idea too - I def need to figure out my storage situation.
The fall release that will have fall/halloween/Christmas is August 27
HYPED!
Never ever pay full price. Always use a coupon or sale for purchases.❤❤❤
Welcome to the discbound life❤🎉

Do you watch Angie Bellmar? She has her own line of planners called the Daily Grind. She loves Halloween and Disney.
what an amazing haul, I love it 😊😊
thank you!!
