Very interesting video. Loved #27 964 for a while. I have 91 c4 with proper setup and suspension KW upgrades and it handles like a dream. I have not driven a C2 but probably need to as many people prefer this drive. Next purchase I'll look into it though. Thanks for posting very informative.
Very interesting video. I'm looking at a particular 964 C4 myself and kinda wishing it was a C2, as I have a 996 C2 now and am wanting that steering feel. Having said that I've not driven a C4 only a C2, so I'm just assuming it's different. Be enough to have a 964 at this stage. Great channel.
To be honest you get loads of feel on a C4 as well.. it's only when driving back to back you notice the difference there. The most important thing is to have the car set up with the right geo and shocks. Any 964 in standard trim feels a bit wooden to me
lol I dropped my diff too ...put a serious dent in the railway sleepers i had below it! Amazing weight of the shaft, front diff and half-shafts - its nuts! Looking forward to the kits please for RLers/64Owners so dont delay ;) ... ps: what size front sway is going in? 26mm
Great vlog. Did your C4 had an original steering wheel with airbag ? Want to install a Momo Prototipo on my 964 and don't know how to bypass the airbag sensor system. Cheers, and good luck with your conversion. 👍
Nuno, one of my oldest subs :)!! Sorry but no idea as my car came without an airbag. Have you tried rennlist forums, huge amount of info and guys willing to help on there...
I used these rennlist posts to put a Prototipo in my 964 I got the horn switch and electrical pin connections from a local dealer. I got the 2.8ohm resistor from Gert at Carnewal. rennlist.com/forums/993-forum/667291-993-rs-steering-wheel-installed-wiring-photos.html rennlist.com/forums/964-1989-1994-911/201101-okay-you-asked-for-it-momo-wheel-installation-made-easy.html rennlist.com/forums/993-forum/682943-note-on-installation-of-momo-steering-wheel.html#post9314265 rennlist.com/forums/964-1989-1994-911/251973-another-diy-replacing-your-turn-signal-assembly.html rennlist.com/forums/964-forum/666628-964-momo-install-details.html
Nuno MC not a problem. I removed mine put a Renown steering wheel on liked it better than Momo. Just get the air bag sensor bypass plug with this swap and the conversion is very simple. Cheers
Fantastic! Great to see you're making progress with the old girl. I found this really interesting. Looking forward to further updates :)
Cheers Ewan.. getting there slowly!
Interesting, as ever. It'd be great to give Mr Harradine his due in the next one. Looking froward to the next instalment.

i would also be interested in such an adaptor! Would be great to get the chance to buy such a piece :-)
Will be available through Nick at Redtek once we have tested it!
Great work. Who makes the splined conversion boss? I would like to buy one.
Glad I've got a C2!😀

So is the c4 the only 964 with a ‘transmission’ tunnel the large? Sorta been considering trying to put a subie drive train in a 911

Hey Matt, it is satisfying to get rid of all the weight! Not sure on sway bar it is an adjustable H&R one
2 hole or 5 adjustment?
not 100% but think two hole...
sounds like mine - 26mm
Do you have a schematic of bushing. You can email

How much weight do u think was shaved off?
Not sure yet, I would think the 85kg estimate i going to be about right. Am taking scales when I go next time...so will have a definitive answer soon.

Thanks dude.. fingers crossed. Especially that the rear diff works p[ropely with the PDAS
