I personally feel that there are alot of options beside Sid and AB was one that really caught my eye he has that sneaky way of finding spots where Sid likes to put the puck I also believe he might be the surprise two way player especially in OT. When games are not going well I would place Bunting, RM and Lizotte on a line just to stir the pot lol
Pat, I agree with what you said on Karlsson. Towards the end of last season, he really started to feel comfortable and you could see it. He seemed to be taking over the game more and seemed more relaxed. I am hoping with David Quinn here, that he really takes the next level this year. Despite having a down year, he still had almost 60 points last year, which for most defenseman is really good. We all knew, Karlsson was not going to score 100 points again last year, as we know that is rarity for defensemen to do in the NHL.
@@austincurry9861I really think Avery Hayes will get a shot in a year or two (if not only because of injuries) as a Connor Sheary 2.0. Small, undrafted, high volume shooter. If he has a good year in ahl with big time minutes, look out next year
Anthony Beauvillier is my sleeper this year. I am hoping he finds his scoring touch again, he is in the nightmares of Penguins fans during that playoff series a few years ago against the Islanders.
Excited for the pens rangers opener. I agree with patrick, this team could really surprise this season. Dont think as a legit cup contender but make the playoffs and maybe win a round. Kevin hayes can add some playmaking to the 3rd line. Hayes, o'conner and glass or mcgroarty could be a great line for pens. I thought the free agent signings were ok. Beauvillier contract is cheap and if he can score 12 to 15 goals he'll have definitely outperformed is contract. Glass has all the potential in the world, just think he needs confidence and to stay healthy. Lizotte was best signing pens made in free agency. Grzelcyk is upgrade over po. Just genuinely excited to see the opening night roster in a few weeks

Perhaps Sid can unlock Beauvilier's inner Dupuis/Rodrigues.
Or Connor Sheary
