The sound design and music is breathtaking in this game. With the right pair of headphones it's immersive as hell. Totally agree with your eargasm comment

The first boss fight with the giant moved me deeply, but I won't go into details to avoid spoilers. While the game's puzzles can sometimes be frustrating, it's definitely worth experiencing firsthand.
Hey Lizz! Firstly, love the makeup, you've done a wonderful job. I've been playing this myself and have to say, it's very visually impressive. Even the waves crashing on the shore and how water interacts with rocks etc is really good. Of course, the performance capture of factual expressions are very impressive. I have mine playing through my surround sound but if you plug in headphones, you get to hear the 3D sounds. The voices she hears, you will hear as she does etc. I can understand the fear of heights, have that problem myself! Also during the walk and talks her model is expressing every word she speaks, which 99% of the players do not see since the camera usually stays behind her back,

I have just finished it...OMG this game is something else and the reviewing channel are destroying it for no valid reasons. I felt all sorts of emotions... best game of the year so far
Because it is basically a playable tech demo. Visually stunning, sound design on point, like this makes me happy for the future of gaming, but to spend 7+ years on a sequel and for it to be shorter than the 1st, is kinda of why it is being slated. You spend so much time walking and doing nothing, plus it never innovated from the 1st much either
I would substract at least 2 years from that, the Covid time and the time after hit the gaming industry HARD and many developers were having major setbacks. Took me 8-9h to play Hellblade 1 for the first time. I finished this one in 10h. I wouldn't say it's shorter, people seem to sprint through this and don't look around at all. But if you do that in Hellblade 1 one, it's also short.
@@stalk05 what Lizz said is right also...wee need to remember that the official development for the game started with Unreal5 launch. The game was announced before Unreal5 was even announced. They started with U4 but when they heard U5 was coming out they told fans they would wait for it. If you see when U5 became available for developers it was not until 2021/2022 Basically they had to re-do everything from scratch except for the storytelling...
41:00 This is the problem with photoreal graphics, you can't use traditional gameplay mechanics without it looking silly. One clean cut from a sword like that and he should be d3ad. He certainly should have lost the use of his left arm before bleeding to d3ath.

That's not the same Sword she had in the first game, the new one she has now is heavier, and a little shorter, So her timing and fighting skills will be a little off when using it.
@@LIZZgame I know it sounds weird. It was the first game that I felt that way, because of its cinematic quality. In 30 fps it really feels like you are playing a movie. Digital Foundry and other reviewers also said something regarding this 30 fps feel. You should try it. I also recommend a big 4k tv for the experience, if possible 😅.

I got a key from Microsoft, so no, I didn't buy it. But if they hadn't, I would have bought it for sure. I love Hellblade 1 and this game is also great. Funny, I am 4h into the game and based on the collectibles I have found so far, I'm roughly halfway through.

just finished the game, the game was a massive disappointment! also the first game did a waaaay better job to depict a schizophrenic mind, in this game the voices were just a simple annoying narrator! the story in the first game was way more thought out this one was just a series of events one after another! this game was just a demo for UE5! i really was hoping for a game at least as good as the first!

The game employs a 2.39:1 aspect ratio meaning that on standard 16:9 monitors, letterboxing(the black bars) is inevitable.
ahhh.. a but of a shame though I think, would be cool if there would be an option to remove those, as I believe most people have 16:9 monitors.
