awesome video, i don’t know if you’ve seen the slide by to osoto gari variation from the cruncher position but a video on that would be amazing, thanks!💪🏽
I call this a corkscrew. This is the first move in a series with a duck under next followed by a head & arm. Dig the underhook and lock your hands. I like to use what I call the kung fu grip (S grip) but the Gable grip is exceptional, too. I find it important to pull straight down with the grip to create compression tension on the back of the neck. I teach this with a sudden perpendicular hop to the side with a pull down on the head and elevating the underhook, keeping the shoulders square to the mat. If you dip your shoulder, then you'll be susceptible to a head & arm, yourself. Once you hit the mat, you can use a cross-side head & arm finish (Ed Scott) or transition to a half-nelson.
Hey Alonzo- not a criticism, but I'm not sure you've covered any bottom position technique in the last two years. Any escape/reversal/counter stuff coming from the bottom in the future?
Yes, I've got like 10 of these comments/messages in the past few days. I have a few videos planned but I just don't have enough good clips of the techniques yet. I made a couple of videos showing reversals but nothing on escapes
Goosebumps watching your video breakdowns

he has a couple videos of doing it from the slide by and Russian
You mean like which positions can you hit it from?
Yes mb for not clarifying
@@earnyourgoldyes that would be awesome
Overhook is traditional used for uchi mata. Works well from underhook as well and I personally like pinch headlock position
