Hello from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. You made such a great video, I like that you showed how to set up the string and made the nocking point. All the best, thanks!
I’m going to be 70 years old this year. And I’ve been bow hunting traditionally since I was 13. You did a very nice job with this video and I love your passion for the sport. Keep up the good work and enjoy your new bow.
"being a cheapo" with the clicker cord, on a black widow bow. haha, excellent. great video and very informative! I have to say i really like the 54" length.
I LOVE THAT OSAGE BOW! I OWN SEVERAL CUSTOMS RECURVES BUT NEVER BOUGHT A BLACK WIDOW BECAUSE I THOUGHT THEY ALL LOOKED ALIKE AND DID NOT REALIZE THEY CAN MAKE A OSAGE, WHICH I DO NOT HAVE AND ALWAYS WANTED. VERY IMPRESSIVE. I'LL MOST LIKELY BE ORDERING ONE AS I LIVE 1.5 HOURS NORTH OF THEM. THUMBS UP, NEW SUB. FROM 641..
Your knowledge, form and experience is something that I haven't yet accomplished in my "seasoned" age. So glad that I stumbled upon your channel. Keep up the impressive work...
I had a Black Widow bow. It was the autumn oak, take down bow, 64", 52# @ 29" draw. On the inside of the limb was written "custom made for Ron Rice". It was a Christmas present from my wife. The bow was stolen from me. So whoever has my bow now, you are in possession of stolen property. If you have it, I would love to have it back. No questions asked. But if you have it, and that doesn't bother you, that is between you and God.
Just freaking awesome, great to see the passion carried on..beautiful form, both of you very nice to watch, I compare shooting trad to making art, good luck
Such a beautiful bow ! Also girl you can shoot ! I have to say I’m jealous of your form and technique 😂 . This video is top notch you definitely got a new follower. Btw beautiful family you got there. 😊
Very good video. Beautiful bow. I love osage. You seem to draw it with authority and should have no problem with the draw weight. Great shooting as well.
I have often wondered why people like quivers that attached to their bow? I never did like this as once you shoot one arrow the bow changes in weight and how it shoots. I like a side quiver.
Ah very nice I have just begun selling a Yew self bow design which is similar to this. A wee bit longer wnd not as recurved. That is a pretty bow though
hello , i'm a compound bow shooter, but lately i wanted to learn how to shoot the traditional ... i noticed you always put a clicker on that bow, what is the clicker supposed to do and for?!! thank you so love your videos, especially your forms, and knowledge ..
0:11... I love short Bows...for my trick shot practicing , i am using the same bow as Jen Delaney at FREEDOMandFEATHERs uses... *30 lb Matrix Jr Ragim 48" take down bow* I am looking into getting an 40lb Asiatic/ Turkish Bow from AFArchery...this year I want to learn more about Speed shooting. For my 3d shooting bow, I just bought a PSE RAZORBACK 30lb 60" / Maple Riser/ take down...still getting use to it's length. but I like it so far, as a new 3d and practice bow. ********************************* 0:43... Legal hunting bows in Ontario Canada are 39.5 lb bows(for deer) ...anything under is illegal. Will you be putting on some *Recurve string groove silencers* (aka.. Limb curve string dampeners), on your new bow.?? ********************************* I appreciate your set up on your new bow..I've never seen a video , that shows the step by step set up of a new bow..GOOD JOB. I've never added a clicker , weights, stabalizers , etc to my bows...I love shooting BareBow style. My Bowyer/dealer, does all my set up for me...Nocking point, Serving, Arrow shelf soft attachments, but I am now thinking, I should learn this stuff. ********************************** 7:01 ...Which is better material for a string silencer ?? Wool or Cotton Puffball or beaver balls ?? ********************************** Your first shooting of this great bow...sounds and looks good
Love the Osage. I’m wanting to get the PMA 3 piece in Osag, with black accents. I have all toelke longbows right now and they are excellent. What grip did you get on that widow? I like the looks of the Jenkins grip
Love your videos! I am in the process of ordering a black widow myself, but had my mind set on the pch, but now that I've seen your kbx, I'm totally in love with it. I've been shooting the longbows for so long, I've been wanting to go back to a recurve. Which of your 2 bows do you prefer? Would appreciate your input.
I honestly love both my PCH and KB so you can’t go wrong either way. Im sticking with my KB again this year though. It is noticeably quieter and I love how its a simple 1 piece.
How do you have even the strength to shoot that with your frame , i recently bought a 35 lb recurve , i am a 150 lb guy its still a struggle. Maybe its because i am an absolute beginner
I have to shoot the longest bow that black widow makes, I have a 32" draw. My bow is 50 pounds at 32" draw. I get 183 fps. with my Black Eagle Deep impact arrows, 400 spine 46 grain outserts 175 grain points. 500 grains
Has you new KBX in Osage darkened any since you’ve got it? Curious cause I’m going to order a Black Widow and while I like the other exotic woods, I like the simplicity of Osage and the way it ages. It is seeming to grow on me the more bows I see in Osage. Respectfully, Jeff
Thinking about trying clicker. Does bowstring have enough tension to hold clicker cord in place. Looks pretty simple to set up. Did you switch to a clicker and if so how long to get used to it? Like your videos. Post more often!
Yeah, the bowstring has a lot of tension to keep the cord in place. I use BCY #24 D loop cord. I started without one and then went to a clicker. It took me maybe a week but it really depends on the person. I am used to aiming and pulling through the shot so I caught on pretty quickly. Just remember to keep pulling!
I did add a clicker, do you tie in clicker cord to bowstring or just use tension of bowstring to hold clicker cord in place? I think I'll like it after getting used to it. Seems like I focus on the target harder with clicker.
Just curious how do you adjust your nock point without tying an adjustable nock point? Does it twist up and down the same way? Also, when you tie your center serving, do you have a set overall length you like or do you just eyeball it?
Yes, that exactly. Tie the nock points on not too tight and you can twist it up and down. Also for center serving, I do enough to fit my tab on and like 2” above the nock point.
What brand and size diameter serving material are you using? I know it depends on the nock being used but curious what basic sizes of BCY Powergrip to buy? Never done it before. Also what is a good serving tool? Thanks

Great Video! I Love My 56" PCH! Out of all My Widows it is My Favorite!
I've owned a bunch of trad bows over the years. Black Widow was my 2nd favorite. I loved my Silvertip. Good form!

I've been using widow Bowes for 25 years I tried many different bowes I only hunt with my widow maker. Great video.
Beautiful bow, very good presentation...
Perfect form and very relaxed. Bravo!
Great video work. Really well done detailing on the serving and clicker setup. Enjoy the Bow.

Love the Osage. I’m wanting to get the PMA 3 piece in Osag, with black accents. I have all toelke longbows right now and they are excellent. What grip did you get on that widow? I like the looks of the Jenkins grip
This is the low wrist, its my favorite choice!
@@the.traditionalshots I went with the Jenkins
Awesome shooting form!!! How do you like a clicker?
Love your videos! I am in the process of ordering a black widow myself, but had my mind set on the pch, but now that I've seen your kbx, I'm totally in love with it. Very knowledgeable
Good luck with the arrow tuning.
Btw, do you know if they make longbow versions of that bow (or longbow limbs)!?
Thx.
Have you filmed any more up to date videos lately?
How about the maximum draw length?
Could you draw 32 inches with this bow?
Please let me know.
Thank you very much.
How do you have even the strength to shoot that with your frame , i recently bought a 35 lb recurve , i am a 150 lb guy its still a struggle. Maybe its because i am an absolute beginner
Good content!

I’m new to archery. What is purpose of the clicker?
The clicker clicks when you get to your draw length. It gives you a big accuracy advantage honestly.
My dumb 6-5" self seeing the title: Man that is a small bow! Seeing who is shooting it: Oh! That is a perfect bow! :)
Oh yeah, it is much darker now! I love the osage for those reasons as well.
Thinking about trying clicker. Does bowstring have enough tension to hold clicker cord in place. Looks pretty simple to set up. Did you switch to a clicker and if so how long to get used to it? Like your videos. Post more often!

Just curious how do you adjust your nock point without tying an adjustable nock point? Does it twist up and down the same way? Also, when you tie your center serving, do you have a set overall length you like or do you just eyeball it?
A series of 4-6 overhand knots tied with the correct amount of pressure produces an adjustable knocking point.
Thanks
Which of the windows do you like best? Do you have finger pinch in a bow that short?
If I had to choose 1, Id probably go PCH since it is a take down. I don’t get finger pinch with this bow either.
Great👍
Excellent video. Well done. Did your Dad or Mom start get you into Traditional Archery when you were young?
No, an older man from the archery shop I worked at took me under his wing and helped me get started. He is a great person!
I love my widow
54"... interesting...
i love my widow only bow i shoot
