You can tell that he is one of the best at incorporating freestyle wrestling technique into gi BJJ. Very good short instructional

I try to mix in wrestling and judo as effectively as I can in my bjj. So many useful grips with the Gi🤙

Still Rolling I am always seeking new content involving double wristlocks and Russian ties. Those, and various mat wrestling techniques (I mostly grapple without a gi). I’m working on incorporating more shin whizzer techniques and tilts, as I have found there is an element of surprise when used against guys with strictly bjj backgrounds.

Good to see an American grappling instructor doing Soviet Judo justice, one constructive point of criticism is that you should probably try to keep your Reverse Kimura by sweeping the leg instead of transitioning to the Single there. Not just because it's Judo legal, but any throw that lands you in side control with the Reverse Kimura on is worth far more than a Single that puts you in half guard on any score card.
You could do a whole series on the Russian Tie to Reverse Kimura, it has to be one of the strongest control positions in stand up grappling that I know of.

Thank you, yes I'm just trying to mix things up a bit. Here is one of my older videos where I cover a lot of the Russian Tie( 2 on 1) options. Thanks for the feedback 🤙

@@StillRolling Nothing wrong with showing people that the Single is there, if anything it illustrates that you can do whatever you want to from that position. I just hate seeing a perfectly good throw go to waste :)

Nice instructional. I use that Russian Tie throw a lot. You can use the Russian Tie to do a snap down and also the fake uchi to kouchi knee pick. It's way under utilized.

In Soviet Russia uke throws you.

Maybe... I've been thrown in the US, so I'm sure it could happen in Soviet Russia as well.
