Four facts of Chuni Goswami- - once he was not selected in Bengal santosh trophy team, during the event crowd got furious knowing this decision and event management was forced to put a statue of his in front of the stadium for the whole event to calm the people down. - whenever bengal used to play for santosh trophy, entire team used to travel by train except chuni. He used to travel by plane because governer was fond of him and used to sponsor his fare. - Chuni Goswami used to believe that a player should stick to one club only. By seeing a player he used to tell who would be the true mohun bagan footballer. - In his last darby with east bengal he scored a goal against them, for this mohameddan won that trophy after many years. Mohameddan supporters sent biriyani to his home as a gift which he had distributed in his locality. That was his personality. Bonus- He used to play both football and cricket, he was captain for both of the sports for Bengal team. It's a shame for us that outside of bengal very few people know about this legend.

Person has a greater chance of becoming a great Footballer than a great Cricketer.

So just imagine if india could've atleast reached the semis, or final. When an indian team had played or was allowed to play in a league for the first time and had won the league in the very first time.
