《爱你如生命》讲述了来自瑞士的华裔建筑师王沥川与来自云南小镇的大学生谢小秋从相爱、分离到重聚，一次次生死相依的爱情故事。大学生兼打工妹谢小秋（焦俊艳饰）认识了华裔建筑师王沥川（高以翔饰），两人迅速坠入爱河。沥川腿有残障，但自强刚毅的性格、温和体贴的为人深深吸引了小秋。没过多久，一张病情报告令沥川意识到自己与小秋的爱情无法继续，于是中止了与她的一切联系。小秋独自吞咽失恋的苦果。四年后，小秋以职业翻译的身份进入沥川所属的公司工作，却在一次投标泄密事件中与沥川不期而遇。此时的小秋正被上司萧观（林佑威饰）狂热追求，而沥川的身边也多了一位美貌多情的女同事珍妮特（郑希怡饰）。深爱沥川的小秋不愿放弃旧情，而不忍耽误小秋的沥川只能佯装冷漠。得知真相的小秋，明白了沥川的苦心，选择了离开，两人的内心却始终在一起。

I beg to differ Annu, bestfriend schoolmate and colleague at Cafe was the one who fired Annie for a movie date with Alex. "Bestfriend" was mistress to Cafe owner, eyed Alex since his first coffee but felt tormented bcos Alex treated her with non-existing personal interest, eventhough tipped her well.
Bestfriend lied and slander Annie to Alex, worst to Annie's father that Annie always come back late but not mentioning that Annie finishes work at cafe 11p.m then eat dinner before journeying back to hostel usually after midnight.
Bestfriend wont allow Annie the morning shifts bcos Alex patronise cafe for breakfast before office. So jealous "bestfriend" rostered herself a.m. shifts, even missing classes to serve and flirt with Alex.
Worst was telling Annie's father that if she is not back, then sleeping over with her wealthy boyfriend, so dont worry.
This reckless & jealous statement by "Bestfriend" caused great friction and mistrust between Annie and Dad, caused a huge misunderstanding which tainted devious Images of Alex, leading father to ruin both Daughter and future son-in-law lives, Alex's was so worried and stressed out in Kunming for 2 weeks fearing worst scenarios of Annie's safety and well-being, wanting to be with her protect and defend her agst false misconceptions implanted by "bestfriend" to her father who threatenes to destroy Alex if he ever see Annie again.
Alex blood allergies recurs, his auto-immunities system had weaken and was failing..... Upon arvl back in Shanghai for delayed check-up, delayed further due Lunar New Year, tests reflected his cancers were far too advanced, with multiple degeneration complications it was a death warrant if he could live another 3-4 months, therefore flying back to ZRH was his only option..... 4 months went on to 4 years of hell on Earth and Pariah Jeanette's evil show-off as love of Alex's life to torment everyone at Shanghai's office especially Annie Xie Xiou Qiu, but "Bestfriend" from Cafe has turned true Best Friend Forever BFF with guts, power, strength to defence with black belt Tae Kwan Do, to defy Pariah slut Jeanette and reduced big Bro Leo Wang Ji Chuan to become a cute injured mouse to respect female co-workers, esp poor but street smart, intelligent, honest, hard working, ernest Annie to outshine Pariah Jeanette to never held her head up high again in Shanghai.

Im proud because he was a Canadian and we miss him here in Canada. Don't know whether the lead actress has any clue of such songs. Chinese drama has lost a super model n actor forever none to be like him. RIP GG.
