Thank you so much. I had a different brita jug and the set up was completely different to this one. Could never drink tap water again after using a brita. Cartridges are expensive but worth it IMO. I change mine every month but going to leave it longer now as it still takes like filtered water even when there are no bars on battery.

"crazy"? I disagree (of a sort). I prefer "adamant", "unyielding", "deluded". Calling them "crazy" could give them a free pass of a diagnosis from a Mental Health Professional. I think that the devotees are twerps, ranging from pitiful, to downright dangerous. Apologies. I am not picking on you in the least. I have almost daily exchanges with someone who is actively preparing for imminent global economic and societal meltdown.
