- After landing on Zeta Halo the scattered UNSC forces moved quickly to claim ground before they were slaughtered by the Banished. UNSC firebases and outposts were constructed in the more secluded areas of the ring promising safe haven to the wounded and weary. Alpha Base, one of the most fortified UNSC bases within its section of the ring, was discovered One month after UNSC forces landed on the surface. At 0500 hours, mortar fire rained from the sky and decimated most of the structures within Alpha Base’s walls. At 0545 surrounding UNSC forces were alerted of the assault and requested to help evacuate the base. Ava B-378, Koda B-528 and Jarid C-078 were deployed to help defend the base until Air support became available to evacuate marines and non-combatant personnel.

You do a great job of capturing the chaos of battle.
I love it how u made the brute take BITE out of the Marines arm!!😂😎
how you manage this sprint is amazingly good :0!
okay so, I could tell the main Spartan was cqc, but what about the gun and backpack? I looked for the gun all over on Amazon, with as many call of duty set's were available..! I really want to know because it's really awesome!!! (I already got the cqc!)
dude. this is freaking unbelievable. your directing is so freaking good.
this madman actually animated the shells ejecting from the chaingun
the timing and spacing on the skewer shot at the beginning is PERFECT
the shot choices, the rapid cuts, the camera shake, the closeups- this is freaking INTENSE and so in-your-face and brutal without being gratuitous- it’s just straight up gritty
HOLY CRAP THAT MOMENT WHEN THE SPARTAN STOPS THE HAMMER
THEIR FIGHT WITH THE BRUTE
THE JUMPS AND FLIPS AND KICKS AND RAPID PUNCHES
i just… how are you doing this? how are you making their motions feel so grounded with such a chaotic style?? how is your timing this perfect???
yeah. wow. this is truly stupendous. your best work by far. one of my favorite MCX films ever. i really wish i could animate and direct like this. your style is freaking impeccable.
no joke, dude, i've been wanting a scene EXACTLY like this in the last colony. you can bet i'm gonna be studying this.
That fight scene against the brute gave me RWBY vibes it's so well done!
@@frozenfreehand1997 That fight is the epitome of how Spartans should be portrayed when fighting, same for the brutes as well. What impeccable work this whole thing was.
I didn't want this to end! Loved how animalistic those brutes were - I could tell you were going for a take similar to Halo landfall, you nailed it! That chieftain fit the bill of an Alpha beast perfectly, and the Spartan's pinpoint accuracy was glorious. Stellar work my friend, aspiring animators will look to this for years to come!
@Timurok Primal 💜 Thanks dude 😁
Hello crocodile
Good to see you
Cant wait for the continuation
heres sassy doing the thing second he does best support other creators smaller then himself
This really reminds me of Landfall. Absolutely some of the best stop motion action I've ever seen! It keeps you at the edge of your seat all the way through!
Yeah was it the little camera saying the name CPL Decker
Hello
Especially the Banshee flybys and the aerial IR camera view at the beginning.
Dude this was absolutely incredible. This felt so much like a real war, especially through the camera shaking in the battle so you could really feel that impact of the gunfire and explosions. This was also very brutal, especially with the behavior of the brutes in the fight, which was fkn awesome. The music and lack of music fit in perfectly, as you could mainly just hear the sounds of the battle to really immerse yourself into the fight. And then that fight between the brute and the spartan towards the end was badass. This is easily one of the best halo stop motion battle scenes I’ve ever seen, and probably your best one yet. Absolutely incredible man. Amazing work.
The Cinematography in this better than any other Mega Construx animation I have ever seen. and the fight was one of my favorites as well. Absolutely outstanding film making.
My thoughts exactly. I didn't even know that one could animate to this degree. That's what I get for underestimating this community, huh?
I absolutely adored all of the small details! And the constant shaky cam added a much more, realistic feel.
I mean, I really can’t find any massive issues (except for maybe how grainy the zoomed in shots can get, but that’s more of a nitpick thing, and sometimes the shaky cam can get a little nauseating [though that’s probably because I get motion sickness easily])
This was definitely a treat to watch, and even more entertaining to see the process that led to it being finished. The inspiration from landfall was also really clear, and overall really good! I can’t even imagine how long the scenes must’ve taken to animate.
That shaky cam was a chefs kiss
This is phenomenal animating. Your lack of VFX and use of practical effects is so awesome. The camera work was super impressive, I know how hard it is to get a big fat camera down in the weeds with the models.
But the main thing was your use of momentum. Making those models look like their punches actually hit with their punches is really hard and you absolutely nailed it. Phenomenal work mate.
The cinematography overall is amazing! I personally think that the graininess from the phone camera really goes well with this, better than a dedicated camera. The fight scene was a tiny bit hard to follow, but I loved how strong everything felt, I was really immersed in it. I also love how emotions get conveyed with no dialogue. This is genuinely the best stop motion I have ever seen, probably the best one I will ever see. My favorite shot in all of it is probably at 1:18. Just something about that elite dying was satisfying for me XD.
Same
Absolutely glorious. It's so gritty and brutal. So many shots were just perfectly executed. I love the tiny detaillike the weapon popping up on the Spartans back and then grabbing it, like we've seen in other cutscsnes. I love the camera shake. I love the brutes genuinely feeling scary. I love the practical effects. I'm blown away! This was amazing, well done as always Badlaxe!!!
Hi big fan
You should check out my first stop motion
wow... this has some of the best, most expressive figure movements i've seen in a long time. Like dude... the mg shells, the elite's sidestep, the br moving up as its being picked from the spartans back, the ENTIRETY of the brute fight. This is truly something special. Amazing work.
Can we take a moment to mention the amazing voice acting that tied this whole bundle of brilliant animation and effects into a studio level short film!? The sound design alone was already next level, but combined with stunning animation and HAND DRAWN blood effects all in one package…incredible work
This is the Halo community at it’s best👏👏👏
Holy shit. That was like, I don't even know what to say. Everything was so grainy and gorey. It felt like an actual war, and that made it so much better to watch. I love how amazing your practical effects are with destructible environments, like when Ava blocks the grav hammer, and you see her feet get firmly planted into the ground with rocks getting flung up, or when she got thrown into the wall and it made a huge indent in it. Like, your small attention to detail is on a whole nother level, and don't get me started on your cinematography. All the angles and smooth shaky movements really tied everything together. I can't fathom how you do camera movements so well. Ava's fight with the chieftain was Phenomenal. all the quick secession jabs, and right/left hooks felt so crisp, and had a perfect level of weight behind them. The fight was in the chieftens favor, but Ava utilized her boost pack, her grapple shot, and most of all her speed to get an edge on the brute, who just couldn't keep up. seeing Codas dead body was actually pretty sad to see, but it was what Ava needed to push a little harder. That neck snap tho. Good shit. Loved everything about this Badlaxe.
Only critiques I could give is, during a few of the cuts during Avas and the chieftains duel, the shaky camera movement didn't allow for a proper easing in for transitioning cuts to different angles, which could have been the intention, but it was a little hard to follow. Still really good though 👍👍👍 10/10
4:16 just wanted to point out this little trade of blows looked SO good 🙏
5:07 That little visor shimmer right before the final blow was so kick ass as well 🙏
BRO THIS ANIMATION IS AMAZING!!! Im actually really impressed that u can do this type of stuff on your own, love your work hopefully you keep doing this.
Great stuff as usual. You have to have a lot of patience to go through with all of those camera movements. I especially enjoyed the sound design in this one, everything felt smooth and realistic. Also, love the little details like the spartan boost to dodge as well as how animated you made the brute, he really felt like a well thought out villain. Awesome stuff man.
Nice to see you man
great stop motion, love how you made the video frame so clear that it makes you feel like your right there with them, the props you used are unbelievably amazing.
Oh my god. *Actually* one of the best stop motions I’ve ever seen. The camera work and set and just EVERYTHING was so well done. At 3:55 this fight scene looks so REAL and just badass. Definitely one of my favorite stop motions ever and anyone who says this isn’t good is braindead
Wooooooooooooooooooahhhhh! You sure know how to motivate me to animate. The fact that you did so much camera shake and still managed to make the action clear is phenomenal and the the hand to hand stuff with the chieftain was so impactful, reminds me of your capture the flag video, the green screening was pretty clean as well,so glad that you’re back.
Hello friend
@@craigstopmotions4239 hello
The green screen footage was overlayed only in the shots with the Camara perspective and wouldn’t have been hard to do since it’s probably some green screen footage found off of TH-cam and or created by Badlaxe.
This gotta be one of my favorite animations cause everything about it is great
This was just so expertly crafted! The amount of experimentation used here was very impressive! From sound design, sets, lighting, Camara shake, colour etc... you’ve really managed to change your style which is very refreshing! The practical effects (cotton, plastic, paper etc...) were just so well done and in combination with the solid vfx (blood/shields/masking etc...) it created a great atmosphere. The use of various unique non halo sounds also added to the sound design (ex: terminator Sfx/ other Sfx). Overall the use of angles, Camara movement, set, lighting, sound design and just the sheer fluidity of the animation really added to making this so entertaining. May I also add this served as a good stop motion extension to the Halo 3 ODST live action commercial! Awesome work man!
Bro I came across this video because I was bored and it had been a while since I last checked out some halo Mega Construx animation and HOLY SHI- bruh the beginning was amazing but when the Spartan and the brute were fighting AND THEY STARTED THROWING HANDS OMG I FELT LIKE I WAS IN A FLIPPIN MOVIE. This was amazingly done with care, detail, and precision. This was beautiful animation. Keep up the amazing and I MEAN amazing work.
When we mess around with our figures. This is litterally how it looks in our mind.
Had to watch this like 10 more times at .5x speed just to grasp the insane amount of detail in this. Wow, my friend really well done, I can see the passion that went into this amazing work of art. 🙌
Man this was awesome , the animation is so smooth and great to watch, the only thing I personally didn’t like was the camera shake , it felt a bit to extreme but overall it’s amazing
dude..........THIS WAS AWSOME!! I love the part when the brute rips off the marines arm and starts eating it!
I like how you made the banished brutes smart and cunning
You’re an actual inspiration man, can always learn so much from your animations, you fight choreography never ceases to amaze me and I can imagine how tedious it was to animate everything with shaky cam. Amazing work.
Dude the brutality of the animation is so good and it’s made kinda funny with the look of mega blocks really good keep it up
loved the halo landfall cinematography, keep it up!
I like how he was able to show the Skewer being used.
The camera wobble is a little weird but it's still amazing you even pulled it off with out it looking like garbage nice work my dude
This is what the halo tv series should have been
Absolutely incredible!
Those over the shoulder shots gave off huge Saving Private Ryan vibes
This. This is how brutes should be animated. I'm impressed! I don't usually watch your content but rapid suggested I watch this, and boy am I glad I did! Keep up the great work!
Wow this is literally the best stop motion video for halo I've ever seen, the effects and camera movements were superb
Yooooo!!! Holly shit! I wasn’t ready for such an amazing animated hand to hand combat with a chieftain! This was really well done! Beautiful work dude! Keep it up!
You know when I was little I watched this kind of animations because I loved and I love Halo Lego Mega Blocks, but watching this animation makes me remember why I loved them so much.
love the narration. puts a lot to perspective!
I love a megabloks animation that uses vehicles. That’s always a good time. I love the sound design and camerawork as well, it feels like a proper war zone.
Also that ending fist fight was god tier.
Holy moly! The non stop action! The choreography between the Spartan and the brute! The shaky cams! The black and white live feed like from the Halo 3 live action trailer! I loved every second of this stop motion!
So glad this popped up this was crazy! The fight choreography and anything and everything the brutes did was sick dude incredible job!
This was absolutely phenomenal!!! Definitely one of the coolest stop Motions I've seen in a while! Just subbed🔥🔥
Mega bloks have never looked so cool 😭, this was awesome
damn, this was amazing. I think near-perfect. and I dont say that likely. usually really good animation like this compromises with Halo lore, shields and how equipment works, sfx and stuff. a big thing I see is shields tend to get removed in order for animation and story to take the front seat, which is completely understandable. but this had everything, it was very real. it felt very Halo, yet very realistic, it had that gritty vibe where the camera quality isn't perfect, but a grainy softness to it that I personally get along with a lot more. I love this.
I'd say this is definitely one of if not my definitive new favourite stop motion animations, and I really don't say that lightly.
with Mootroid's latest project, it was fucking brilliant and quite over the top spectacular, with the Planet Qutari series, the story was a massive reason it did so well, you knew what you were doing and wanted to do and you executed it well. the combat at times was a little disconnected as it was shots of the enemy shooting and shots of the soldiers shooting, and that's at its worst which is still a bar that surpasses so much of what I've seen. but this is very much different, people just blowing up and dying out of nowhere in almost jumpscares, where you don't know whether you're about to follow these soldiers into battle or just watch them get blown apart or slaughtered. they're mini-stories of their own and really engaging for a war setting.
the hammer fight felt like a spiritual successor to the heretic and the ODSTs vs the chieftain in the Qutari finale in every way that a sequel should be - an expansion, an improvement, different yet doesn't throw dirt on the original. the choreography was interesting and brilliant to watch, it showed how much you've improved and how much you strive to continue to, lord knows how much of a god you'll be by the end of this story, whenever that'll be.
there's not much more I can say, I get so deep into these points that I forget everything else and just want to praise over and over.
very very good, 4 months more than worth the wait, feeling so spoilt with this stuff.
I think this is one of the best stop motion videos I’ve seen in a long time
I also have a question how did you make Daniels
Love the use of CoD accessories to make the Spartans look more grounded and battle hardened.
Probably the greatest work I’ve ever seen put into a film made with mega construx figures I really love how you see the marines a lot more than a normal halo stop motion would show and the voice acting is great more dialogue is always good and the action was amazing the fight with the brute chieftain was crazy great stuff! 👍
BROOOOOOOO I REALLY CAN'T DESCRIBE HOW SHOCKED I AM, YOUR EFFECTS ARE TOP TIER!!!! CAMERA MANAGEMENT, ANGLES, COREOGRAPHY, EVERYTHING IS AWESOMEEE
Amazing work! You really captured how chaotic and stressful this situation would be with the crazy camera covenants and such!
Absolutely incredible!
One of the best if not the best and most brutal stop motion I have ever seen about Halo MConstrux, good job and subbed
Ok a few things, 1 this is the most amazing mega books video I have ever seen! 2 the fluidity and quality of this is incredible! 3 this shows how badass spartans are, they aren't your average soldier. they are given the best training in all aspects from guns to hand to hand, and 4 you are the most talented stop motion animator I have ever seen.
I rarely ever rewatch videos but this is one of them
This was so well done really loved the realistic movements, gore and action
Find myself returning to this animation every once in a while just for reference on fights, have to say this is probably my favorite work of yours.
This is genuinely one of the most coolest things I have ever seen in my entire life
A brute ripped a guy's arm off and proceeded to eat it WHILE the marine was injured. I've always been such a fan of how realistic your take on war is and how brutal it is. I've been following your animations for some time now, and I'd just like to say, that you're my favorite animator I've ever seen. You have such a raw process, and it is awesome to see how far you've come. Keep up the good work!
This is perfect!👌👌👌 One of the best animations ive seen and one of the ones that I rewatch the most! I love how untamed the brutes are, and how the banished is a much more significant threat than how theyre shown in the game. Great job!
One of the greatest stopmotion videos ive ever seen- KEEP IT UP. THAT WAS AWSOME. I DID NOT WANT IT TO END. PLZ KEEP DOING MORE!!!!
Hella underated!! This was incredible, the audio, the action, had me on the edge of my chair, and that brute swinging the hammer...wow...it's too good bro
Great stuff as always, I love how you animate your hand to hand fight scenes they’re incredible. Plus the overall story telling is amazing with the limited dialogue there is.
Pretty baller animation, there’s so many small details and effects that all add up to make the project an amazing watch, good stuff👍
This was awesome! Please keep making more. The animation, camera work, abosutely incredible!
This was absolutely incredible. This felt so gritty and real, and then we come across one of the best stop motion fights I have EVER seen. Hands down, 10/10.
Never seen stop motion in shaking camera before. Very good positioning to be able to pull that of with consistency. Really nice work.
This may very well be the best combat fight scene I have ever seen using Mega. Your camera your chemical work is amazing. Especially the way the camera jerks and moves in the field to help emphasize the movement of the the soldiers.
And the way you make your figures run figures run is the best I have ever seen. Most people are very blocky and stocky with the way they make theirs move when they are running. People can make them look good sliding and fighting but not running. Yours look great doing everything. Fantastic!
Holy shit...
This animation is so good that I don't know what words would describe this piece of art.
Brilliant! The shaky camera worked very well with the flashy, quick paced style you went for here. Very Halo Landfall and Remember Reach trailer esque.
I’m going to have to watch this a few more times…
Is that a good thing or a bad thing? The camera shake was something new I tried so if it was difficult to see what was happening I apologize
@@badlaxeanimations3205 its awesome! The camera movement made it feel as if you were there in the fight. It was definitely not overdone, you executed it perfectly! And that fight with the brute at the end was one of the most epic hand to hand combat fight scenes I have ever seen! I love you style. Your practical effects are awesome!
I watched it about 3 times already because I enjoyed it so much! Also, Where do you get your sound effects? They were perfect and added so much to the animation!
That fight between the spartan and the brute was the best fight animation from mega blocks I had ever seen
I love ur work man brilliant stuff cant wait for more
Great job honestly, I loved all of it. Really fantastic job. I've never seen a stop motion be this smooth
Thanks for defending my discord server. You're a true chad for that.
Your videos are always worth the wait. They are so much fun to watch, from start to finish. Everything is done phenomenally, and I especially loved the fight between the brute and the spartan at the end. I love how you over exaggerate movements and really sell the impacts. Fantastic stuff man
I have no idea how anyone makes something so incredible. I loved all the sound effects and music, and the anime style really fitted the animation. The pill box and the foxhole were extremely cool as well. Personally, I think this is one of your best. Great work man!
Bro this was great. It was WAAAAAAYY better than the entire "THE HALO" TV show. It was well animated with the stop motion and it felt gritty. The similarities with the camera were greatly inspired by the HALO Landfall, well done 😁👍 and I can't wait to see what you make next.
This was the best, grittiest, stop motion i’ve seen hands down. unparalleled work, fantastic job.
Absolutely insane man. You captured the movement and feel of the brutes perfectly. You really knocked it out of the park with the way you used shields in the combat. Also the camera work isn’t like anything I’ve ever seen before.
I know I’m late here but this is probably the most underrated MCX animation I have ever seen. It’s perfect in every way to make it seem like an actual war, just chaotic enough for that environment, I feel like you can animate better than some Hollywood movies can. No halo or CoD animation has ever looked this good.
Broooo!!! Wow!!! This stop motion, efects, movements, etc is very nice!!
Wow Badlaxe this was freaking amazing I loved everything about. I am so shocked that you were able to keep the camera shake at a constant pace to where the viewer can still visually see what's taking place so Bravo to you on that. The gore was fantastic, really showed the gruesomeness of the banished forces as well as the voice acting to make the audience really have a feeling towards the elites. The movements were clear and smooth, the emotions of Spartan Ava were executed perfectly with our having to hear her say a word. The music choices are amazing, Drawing effects definitely showed the time and care you put into them, and lastly the sound effects were great touches as well. Oh the last thing was the set it's self I loved the bunker shots. Such a great addition to your short film. Amazing job Badlaxe for this stellar video and I also thank you for allowing me to voice act I do appreciate it.
That was amazing! Incredible camera angles, so good. Even better than some of those big budget movies out there, lol. Very very well done!
DUDE THIS IS THE BEST STOP MOTION IVE EVER SEEN, WORDS CANT EVEN DESCRIBE HOW GOOD THIS IS. AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
This should win some kind of award. This is like the Zack Synder of Stop Motion entertainment 💯
This is so overwhelmingly awesome! It was so smooth and all that, I love it so much. Keep up the good work dude! 👍
Great video!!! Keep doing this!!!
This video was absolutely fantastic!!! The camera work was great, and the atmosphere really felt like this was a warzone. I loved how you portrayed the Brutes in this, you can really get a feel for their strength and weight by looking at their movements and hearing their loud footsteps. This was a freaking 10/10 !!
After seeing this again. You have gotten me back into collecting these figures. Can't wait to see what else you make and thanks for the great video. Keep it up!
Amazing stuff man.The shaky camera was so intense it made it look like it was out of a movie and even though the animation was short then most of the ones you did before it had so much emotion and was over all Amazing
This was outstanding you really captured the brutality and chaos of war, and the way you depicted the emotions of the characters without speaking a word was awesomely done.
The extremely minimal dialogue made this piece so much more thrilling
I quite literally slammed my fist when I saw Koda Dead , damn.
Your back!!!!
Edit: Just finished watching and man was that so awesome love the Spartan fight with the brute. Great work as always here man😎👊
You're*
@@dankmotionsstudios5161 yea😅
I’m being completely honest when I say that this is the BEST Halo stopmotion film indeed ever seen! I can’t seem to find a single problem with it; it was like landfall got an extended cut or something. If someone told me that this was made officially I’d believe them 100%. Keep up the good work!
Man this stop-motion is insane. amazing job with everything!
personally i never get tired of watching your videoes
in this one i love how you give the battle rifle a full auto function......something not done in games but it was done in that live action halo short film halo landfall ^^
Bloody amazing stuff.
Great animation and sound work, actually loving the shaky camera here and it's so visceral. Blood and despair, more like a WW2 recounting and less fantasy space-fight.
Dude, this animation was WILD. Reminds me of the old star wars lego animations but 10x better tuned for halo! FANTASTIC JOB GOOD SIR
ive always loved stop motion and i even made a few vids of my own but seeing this makes me very happy, the time and effort that was put into this is amazing! great work and keep it up
The shaky camera really adds the feeling that somebody was actually recording this instead of it being stop motion
Bro the cinematography, the practical & animated effects, the choreography especially in that 1 on 1 brute fight, they were frickn outstanding! I'm loving it & I've already watched it 3 times! Really cant wait to see what you make next man, keep up the amazing work 🤙
That hand-to-hand combat with the brute was so clean!!
