to be completely fair, i love the cosmetics and maps in the new update, but i genuinely hate the rest of the update with emeralds being more useful and all that and the price changes in shop. i feel the generators starting early is way to op meaning those speed runners cant do a 6 iron rush. but that's just my opinion on the new update. tho im sure ill get used to it mostly cos i doubt its gonna be removed.
You’ve changed my mind about the favourite shop, it’s actually a very good idea and I thought it was implemented differently, but the pre cage drop gens, new block prices and amounts and the fact that you get elims just for getting someone’s egg have all ruined speedrunning. I guess we could change it so that you get perfect% if you hit everyone off in your video (As everyone needs footage to submit a speedrun) but for the other two, they have literally killed it. Pre gens give enough iron to buy a sword, armour, pick, food and 20-30 blocks (depending on how much food you buy), this makes first rushes 10x harder to kill. Secondly, the new block prices destroy the 6 iron strats and 9 iron strats, forcing you to either buy all the 1 iron blocks individually (which is painful for players like me who often get queued to NA/EU and get 230 or 310 ping), or just wait for 12 iron to buy blocks and a pick. I’ve quit, Toby quit, Nightmare quit and more. If they don’t revert this, I don’t see why anyone good at the game would try and play eggwars anymore other than in scrims. Great video though :)
I should also mention that I like everything else other than what I mentioned previously
@@RaisinForABrain Its not that difficult to achieve a good first rush though... what I have been doing is I get 16 iron on drop (usually 11-14 iron once the cages disappear already on gen), this gives me enough for 33 blocks, armor, and a pickaxe. The armor is what will save you from dying to players who immediately buy swords at the beginning of the game with all the extra iron now.
Yes it has changed how rushing works, but I honestly think its for the better. It's good to have games change and make sure things don't become stale - and it's not like rushing was completely ruined...
In fact, a small part of the EggWars community got to take part in giving ideas and feedback on the new update before it was released (me included). Almost all of the changes were suggestions from community members. I made sure to give input where I could to make this update not too "campy" and not too "rushy" if you know what I mean. Tbh to the people who are quitting, I don't really think it's the update that is making them quit, it's the fact that they aren't willing to really take the time to learn the update. Yes the shop has moved around, yes the generators start before you drop, yes the block prices change. But ngl I think rushing is going to be even more OP once people get the hang of it. So I suggest learning and coming up with strategies rather than just give up.
@@related_noobs There are ways to rush but due to how long it is going to take to buy blocks from shop now with 1 iron and 11 iron options, the eggwars duos WR is basically unbeatable now being only 37 seconds by me and Nightmare. You have to get blocks straight away and rush and have your nons not get any armour to make things faster (Which we kinda got unlucky with). There are different strats, but for 230/310 ping players like me, 1 iron shops really aren’t a good idea. Also the gens starting before the game starts was suggested by a cheating scrim player, not a player who plays the game because it’s fun. All together, Nightmare, Toby and I have well over 30,000 eggwars wins and we all HATE this update with a burning passion. Everything was literally amazing besides these few implementations like different blocks and elims being obtained by breaking an egg. I guess me and Nightmare can try and revise strats, but speedrunning could become way more ping reliant now. Also Toby told me about you wanting the gap kit LMAO

Yeah I agree with related I hated the update at first but got used to the rushes for example on modern you can 17 iron rush for armor a pickaxe and 36 blocks do u don't get destroyed by the nons that buy stone swords right away. On toys u can 13 iron rush with the same strat but with 24 blocks instead. You will get used to it and using the favorite items u can customize to the way u like. I don't believe that sweats like you and toby should be quiting you guys are literally my idol for grinding I'm almost at 600 wins
The 1 thing I don’t like about the new update, apparently your starter kit doesn’t respawn which is sad

Yeah and you get 1 emerald every 30 seconds so you have to successfully guard mid for 6 whole minutes to get a sharp 8.

I really don't like the new update because games take alot longer and the blocks prices changed are just really but the big reason is the fps is pretty much unplayable on any map now for any not on pc
I think we just have to come up with a new loadout for first rushes. Once we get some strategy going I think it will be faster ngl

I did a couple of 4v4s and 9v9 scrims on it and it made it alot less skilled because on time and birthday you can get full diamond in like 40 seconds at mid I personally feel like they took quite alot of the skill away by making the gens so fast and also the gens being upgraded makes it alot more laggy for console players
Yes but it's also quite interesting because mid control and bankers both have way more value
@@cowcrew6991 not really if anything they have less because you can get 40 diamonds of first rush to mid. And it takes less time to get alot of gear because of the speed of the gens. Atleast before mid players had to hold it for 1 or 2 mins to get 30 or so diamonds which seems alot better balanced and just better overall.

@@cowcrew6991 yeah well currently in circuit emeralds are banned. They were actually equally op pre update because blastballs could break 3 layer obi. Though sharp 8 and e 12 are to op to have in scrims

Lol i just used elytra like once and it broke. I usually get strength pots and in the insane sharp sword with emeralds, also the fast pickaxe. LOVE EGGWARS NOW
