My first car purchase in 1975 was a beautiful 1967 300SE coupe in dark blue with saddle leather interior. It had a four-speed stick shifter on the floor and drove great. It cost me only $4,250!
My dad had one of these from new , he used to let me sit on his lap and let me “drive” 😊. I’ve never been lucky enough to have one of my own but I love that car and the memories ❤
So gorgeous! I will have a classic Mercedes one of these days. Too bad they don't make them like this anymore. Now they have planned obsolescence and now there's no drain plug on the transmission to change the fluid. Used to be the best production cars ever.
Beautiful vehicle! I owned a fully loaded 1973 280 SE 4.5 in burgundy with the identical leather color. The 4.5 boasted the predecessor engine to the 450 SLC and 450 SEL of the early 1970's. The W108's were beautiful. We know today's vehicles are not built to the same levels. Unfortunately, sheer scarcity of parts and qualified technicians make these Classic vehicles largely obsolete - except for the occasional Sunday saunter. I used to drive my 4.5 for hundreds of miles at a time... today it is a major ri$k.
A vulgarity? Hyperbolic much? You've obviously never been in a new S-Class. They're more comfortable, safer, quicker and handle MUCH better than anything from the 60s. Are they as classically beautiful? No, but they're beautiful in their own way.
@@OMGWTFLOLSMH Modern MB are cheaply built to a price on a robotic production line. They will not be spoken of in 60 or 80 years time. Cheap and vulgar; like the owners. Fact.
@@mikewinston8709thanks for the general hating on MB owners. My 11 year old 200k mile E Class is still running beautifully with no rattles or shakes. Best car I’ve ever owned.
@@markcarrington8565 11 years is nothing……a modern MB will be scrapped at 20! ……..come back when it is 60 years old and still in perfect working order.
Great picture and color grading. Feels like I’m there! Great job again, keep it up!
I appreciate the support Andrew!
A true work of art 😅
What a beautiful car! Thanks for the tour

Carini is the best!
I’ve watched all of Wayne’s TV shows. His knowledge is phenomenal
Absolutely beautiful. I had one for many years.
Gorgeous! Correction, these cars absolutely were available in the US at the dealer in US spec. Some people did import their own.

What a beautiful car
Beautiful Wayne, great job.

I like it...a real German Flagship beautifully restored danke
Finally! A car worthy of my polo career!

Superb build quality and restoration. Elegance and class.
Precioso Mercedes, felicidades.
Pure class!!
Love it, I’d like to find some older models like that, I have a SL500 and a SLK230 kompressor. Thanks for sharing.
My Dream Car , One Day .
Fantastic....😎
Why did some 300se's have "Automatic" under the "300 se" on the turnk lid and some did not? Was it dependent on year?
Was every component restored ? Geez Wayne once is enough.
A favorite of the Benz line up! In America at least!😊
When a Benz was still a Benz 😼😎
I have owned a 1999 SL320 daily driver in great condition for 12 years, but I lust after one of these, but wouldn't dare to drive it! Too much!!
I wouldn’t dare it either lol
Cant wait till my S63 Coupe gets what it deserves 😊
Whoever restored, it is never going to reclaim close to what they invested in it
carini, a lightweight hustler.
Not cut from the same cloth as his father.
Looks rather like “that scoundrel Dan Cleaver’s” car in Bridget Jones’ Diary. That was blue of course but was the best thing about the film.
When the suspension is in the raised position, the factory recommends not to exceed 30 mph.
For Sale on BAT ?
Yes, if not it’s gonna be there soon!
I had coupe 3.5. Sad I sold it.
When MB was built by proud engineers. Today, modern MB is just a vulgarity built by accountants, to a price.
Lovely stuff

HI , BAUTIFULL
What's it worth?
These are six figure cars. Top build quality.
I would rather have that than a new Bentley or Rolls, more class, and better built, this will increase all the time, not like the Rolls or Bentley
And he didn’t say ‘ cool ‘ once . 😂😂😂😂
