Well, afo is hizashi midoriya a.k.a deku's father. If you don't believe me then you can also see that the creator also has said that afo is the father of izuku midoriya. Its not an alternative universe.

I feel like it would’ve been nice to see Bakugo’s side of what happened to Izuku. They were basically demonizing him, without knowing his mentality, and his head space. Bakugo grew up with a mother who preferred someone else’s kid. He was raised that emotions made him weak, and Mitsuki was actually very mentally abusive. When Izuku tried to help Katsuki, Katsuki thought Izuku was trying to belittle him, or mock him. The way Bakugo was raised is “Tough it up” not “Ask for help if you need it”. Bakugo was wrong for all the things he did, but he had a mentally traumatic childhood. It just triggered me that they assumed he was a terrible person, when he was offered to be a villain, and fought to keep his place as a hero in training. He tried harder than anyone to get where he is. I mean come on, his mother called him weak for getting kidnapped, you can imagine how hard it was to learn when he was afraid to ask for help. Midoriya had one of the strongest hero’s behind him to help through the whole process. He was also just given the strongest quirk in the world, while Bakugo had to work to make his quirk as strong as it is. Bakugo got jealous that Izuku got so strong in 3 months, and I mean, he worked for 10 years to get that strong, I’d be jealous too. I just don’t think it was right to demonize Bakugo and make him look like a monster.
