It's not about looks it's about function and the fact that you make 1 of these and it's functioning like screw what it looks like. It could be as ugly as my dog's ball sack I don't care dude I would still use it all day every day
I would like to see a similar project like this but using brushless 6374 motors instead, the motor is used on this one or just too small I think to be practical.

what is the power consumption of the bigger mower? my plan was to make it so it ran in the night and charged in the day, with a solar cell as a roof. A simple LDR to to set when it supose to run or not, and monitor the battery voltage if it is alowed to run or not. nice build!
I was thinking about making something like this but the front bumper would have a switch for one of the wheel motors for example: if you hit the left side of the bumper it switches the right wheel engine to turn backwards =the mower turns right and avoids the edge/obstacle there could be also a detector that detects the boundry wire in the same way would be really simple and almost fully analog
Love it. Props.
someone get this man a 3d printer and composite molding kit. Aesthetics is all it's missing.
Thank you. You are spot on. My projects don't look very nice
@@HomeRoboticsAustralia pretty bad ass though which is what usually counts

It just depends on the terrain and thickness of the glass
That’s amazing!
Thanks
What type of motor are you using for the wheels?
@@gaboliquid 12vdc. High torque motors
It looks amazing! what is the motor and gear box you used? I'm planing to build something similar.

I use 2 x 12v batteries
@@HomeRoboticsAustralia how long can you drive with them and how big are they?
maybe solar powered batteries?
Wow this is a genes idea I have thinking about this because I am tired of mowing my lawn 😅

Absolutely mate. I am just an idiot at electronics so I resorted to programming instead
Nice 👍🏻
Thanks
what type of camera did u use to detect the boundaries of the garden ?
No camera yet. All manual
Do you use cable detectors and if so, how did you connect them?
Not yet. I intend on using a perimeter wire / shock collar set and modify it
I need a making video of this lawn mower for my project could you please help me😅
Sure
@@HomeRoboticsAustralia thank you
Thats dope
Thanks bro
I like your use of timber rather than printing in plastic, the world has enough plastic.
Thank you sir
3d printed won't las much anyway. Sun exposure makes it brittle very fast.
@@RolopIsHere good point
IF YOU USE 3 WEED WACKER MOTORS 1 CENTER 1RIGHT AND 1 LEFT ABOUT A 18 INCH CUT AS IT IS MOVING FORWARD
yea man, best to use a motor that is already designed to cut grass
