    The Big Sur from AIMA is one of the most refined fat tire Ebikes in the sub $2k category. And it's AIMA's first release, though they've been manufacturing EVs for the past 30+ years. They've brought all that expertise to the Big Sur, and we're stoked to see what they're going to come out with next.

    Wife and I just got ours in ColoradoSprings. Great video. We choose Big Sur for Durability. 2 Ebike shops in ColoradoSprings use these Bikes for their Rentle fleets. I asked them why they used them for the rental fleet. They responded that they get parts really quick and they flat out handle the RENTAL ABUSE. They sale couple of brands but Amia Big sur are flat out tough as NAILS. In ColoradoSprings, we have great trails but also long hills. These Bikes engage with throttle when you need to get up that hill. Smooth as silk.

      Thank you! Yeah we've sold over 300 of them at the shop and haven't had a single one come back with any issues, defects, or otherwise. I think they've got the right ingredients here to be considered one of the best Ebikes on the market.

      Awesome! I’m sure you’ll love it. I haven’t heard any negative feedback from people that have purchased them. What color did you get?

      @@Ennovation Matte black. I also like to mention that this bike feels like even big and or heavier people would likely feel comfy on this bike. I come from a regular mountain bike and the torque sensor makes a huge difference for a more natural pedal feel when compared to bikes with cadence sensors. No ghost pedaling.

    • @Ennovation
      @Ennovation  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@juergenpaton5004 The no ghost pedaling is a huge deal to people that want to pedal, and I've always been impressed by their torque sensor program. Definitely a great bike for those that want to do some pedaling, but on the same note, the throttle responsivness is really nice as well, so those people that just want a comfty cruiser to throttle around on would find this to be a good fit as well. ;)

      Great review love this bike! But I am wondering if it’s the right one for me a woman getting in my 60s and it’s a pretty heavy bike.

    • @Ennovation
      @Ennovation  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@susandense690 Thank you for the kiind words! I've actually seen a ton of folks getting into their 60s ride the bike and find it pretty manageable. AIMA also sells another bike called the Santa Monica, which has a ton of cool features, and a great ride feel as well, but it's a bit lighter and seems to be a little bit more manageable. If you want to go the Fat Tire route, the Big Sur Sport is also a really nice bike. Basically has everything I love about the Big Sur 26" with 20" wheels and a smaller seat height, so that also can be a bit more manageable. Would highly recommend getting over to a dealer to test ride one of those if you can!

      Good to hear! Yeah I’m a big fan of it. And you can unlock the top speed a bit if you take to your dealer too! Not a lot of info about that online, but they’re pretty easy to adjust the top speed.

    Nice review. I just bought a Big Sur and Big Sur Sport last week. Best bikes we have ever owned. I love the Big Sur. Fast, comfortable and loaded with really nice components.
    Also, you actually do need the key to lock the battery back in. There's an inner latch that gets set and it disables the button. Guy at the bike shop showed me how it works. It keeps the battery from coming out, in case you accidentally hit the button when you don't mean to.

    Hey man. Great review! Been researching e-bikes all week and your videos are some of my fave. I’m torn between a Big Sur and an Aventon Aventure 2. Went to LBS to test ride an Aventure, which they didn’t have in stock, so they recommended I ride the Big Sur. It was great! But I’ve read so many good things about the Aventure that I want to ride it before making a decision. Can you help?? Thanks!

    • @Ennovation
      @Ennovation  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Well there's nothing better than test riding a bike to see if it works for you, as an individual. I can say from experience, that we have tons of folks who come in and ride the Aventure.2, Mokwheel Basalt ST, Velotric Nomad, Denago Fat Tire 3, and the Big Sur, and 90% of people that ride all of those go with a Big Sur. I've sold 2 Aventure.2s in the same amount of time I've sold 300 Big Surs....and that's based on people riding both and choosing the Big Sur. And as a fun aside, I just got back from touring Bafang and AIMA facilities in China, and what they're doing over there as far as quality control and product development blows most of these companies out of the water. It's honestly hard for me to recommend anything else to people if they're looking for longevity and a solid product. But again, its worth a test ride to make sure, but if you did decide to go with the Big Sur, you wouldn't be making the wrong decision :P And also, thanks for watching the videos! I appreciate it!

    • @TheCubanCigar5
      @TheCubanCigar5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @ thanks for the reply! The LBS got in a large Aventure 2 which I got to test ride yesterday. Nice bike, but the Big Sur just felt better all around. I think that’s my final choice. It’s priced at $1,799 (plus $150 assembly fee and taxes), do you think the price may go down after Christmas or early next year?
      Also, so cool you got to tour the AIMA facilities! Good to hear they’re doing some great things. From your reviews and others I’ve read/watched, it seems like they’re putting out some quality products.

    • @Ennovation
      @Ennovation  หลายเดือนก่อน

      $1,799 is likely going to be the best price you'll see on it. Most of the retailers have been trying to get them to raise the price, since it's just a better bike, so I would guess that price won't get any better. Also, we charge $151 for assembly, so seems like you're getting a pretty good value out of the assembly from your LBS.

    • @TheCubanCigar5

      @ pulled the trigger on it yesterday!! 😬 it’s being delivered to the shop tomorrow. I don’t know why I’m feeling buyer’s remorse already haha, but I’m sure I’m gonna love it and not regret it. They even waived the assembly fee.

      We’ll if it were me, I’d bring them inside. I stick to trying to keep my batteries stored between 50-75 degrees. If it’s colder than that outside, I would recommend bringing them inside.

    Is this still your favorite Budget Fat tire ebike? Can you recommend something similar in the $900-$1200 range?

    • @Ennovation
      @Ennovation  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The Big Sur is definitely my favorite budget fat tire! No body else has come close to the ride feel and performance, in my opinion. I don't think there's anything in that price range that is comparable. The only bike that is in the range that was pretty decent was the Velotric Nomad, which is around $1,299 right now, but pre-order only.
