Brilliant !
So glad to see more of Danny Doyle here!
Both my sister and I had this by heart - Wonderful to hear the incomparable Danny Doyle here - Wish my sister could hear this
In past years I got to see Danny Doyle perform this live a number of times at Kevin Barry's Pub in Savannah, Georgia. Those are treasured memories!
Thank you Taft hope you’re keeping well.
Incredible! So atmospheric.
For me, I met him in the late 60's - early 70's in Toronto, Canada... in a small bar called the Golden Nugget. Good to see he is still going strong.
Love this! Great post!
Excellent!! :-)
Danny's disks are hard to find in the U.S. More, please! :)
Saw and heard Boyle in Miami sing this song in the '70s. Has always been a haunting ballad. Dan C Tokyo 2016
Where do you hail from? I am anIrishAmerican living in Tokyo for 30 yrs

Danny is the best! Thank you! How did you get this?
Check out Phil Ochs" cover on his 2nd album.
It was Phil Ochs who composed this tune for The Highwayman (and also adapted the words slightly from what Noyes wrote). Loreena McKenna and Andy Irvine sing the song to another air (which I've been told Loreena McKenna composed)
LOL I am used to the Loreena McKennitt version (which has an entirely different melody), but I like this version too.
Can anyone get save the whale by Danny
Love this
