That's not auto tune. Those are effects similar to phasers. It's not meant to "fix" her singing, it's meant to sound electronic and slightly robotic. It's a production style.
I'm sure she used the auto-tune to have it sound cooler. She usually doesn't use so much of it. And to be honest it sounds incredibly cool this way. I'm sure she tried using it without so much auto tune and it didn't sound as good.
