Fr ripperger's presentations have been so beneficial to me and my spiritual growth. I pray that the knowledge I gain from his teachings not make me become a proud person.
Thank you, Father Ripperger. The comments;" Every sin that you comment is a form a theft...and every time you commit a sin, you rob Him the Glory that is due to Him...and, therefore, you have to pay Him back... it is called Reparation...Make sure that you always do acts of reparations...." certainly got my attention, because you articulated in a way, exactly what sin is in a way that I have never heard before.
Yes, we need to understand the sinfulness of sin. Also.. KJV Matthew 23 9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.
@catholicuniversal Only one Holy Father KJV John 17 11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are. To call anyone else this title is blasphemy.
@catholicuniversal Speaking of the Pope's... KJV Matthew 24 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. "To make war against the Pope is to make war against God, seeing the Pope is God, and God is the Pope." -Moreri's History. (Louis Moréri (25 March 1643 - 10 July 1680) was a French priest and encyclopedist.) "The leader of the Catholic church is defined by the faith as the Vicar of Jesus Christ (and is accepted as such by believers). The Pope is considered the man on earth who takes the place of the Second Person of the omnipotent God of the Trinity." (John Paul II, Crossing the Threshold of Hope, p. 3, 1994). "The Pope is not simply the representative of Jesus Christ. On the contrary, he is Jesus Christ Himself, under the veil of the flesh, and who by means of a being common to humanity continues His ministry amongst men ... Does the Pope speak? It is Jesus Christ Who is speaking. Does he teach? It is Jesus Christ Who teaches. Does he confer grace or pronounce an anathema? It is Jesus Christ Himself Who is pronouncing the anathema and conferring the grace. Hence consequently, when one speaks of the Pope, it is not necessary to examine, but to obey: there must be no limiting the bounds of the command, in order to suit the purpose of the individual whose obedience is demanded: there must be no caviling at the declared will of the Pope, and so invest it with quite another than that which he has put upon it: no preconceived opinions must be brought to bear upon it: no rights must be set up against the rights of the Holy Father to teach and command; his decisions are not to be criticized, or his ordinances disputed. Therefore by Divine ordination, all, no matter how august the person may be - whether he wear a crown or be invested with the purple, or be clothed in the sacred vestments: all must be subject to Him Who has had all things put under Him." -Evangelical Christendom, January 1, 1895, pg. 15, published in London by J. S. Phillips.
@catholicuniversal @catholicuniversal I have looked at history and Peter was killed by the Romans/Jews three centuries before the Roman Catholic Church was even thought of. Peter was not the first Pope of a Church that has killed millions of Christians during the prophesied dark ages. Nor was the Church built upon Peter. KJV 1 Corinthians 10 4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. Jesus the Christ is the Rock that the true Church is bulit upon. The body of Christ, His justified and sanctified bride who love and obey Him are the redeemed. No Church membership saves us, Jesus the Christ is the way, the truth and the life. KJV John 10 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
What about student loans where the student didn’t have full knowledge of the agreement? For example, the student didn’t possess the knowledge to know the amount of money they were taking out and the effect it would have on them later in life. It seems like this situation would be considered a scam and restitution would not be required. Not to mention the lenders of student loans are guilty of the sin of usury.
Then there is no hope for me...thank you for this sermon... after 40 yrs of living a vile life there is no way to make restitution or even remember all I owe.... thank you.. what the point of me even caring anymore... I got about half way through... done
Grace exists for a reason, Paul murdered Christians and lived for the killers of Christ, nothing you've done could be worse, but he gave up all desires and lived only for God. You do have to understand that you can't just live an easy life for yourself though, you owe God much and will have to surrender to his will, but perfect contrition can merit sufficient grace. You just need to establish whether or not your life is for your own enjoyment and satisfaction, or for God's glory. If it's the latter, you will be redeemed, if it's the former then you have no one to blame but yourself.
Ch Please do not fall into despair. There is hope for you yet. Remember the repentant theif on the cross who was not able to pay restitution for his sins but Jesus said this day he will be with him in paradise. Why don't you just start making reparations where you can. I hope this message finds you well.
What if you can’t pay it back because you don’t make enough money to even pay your bills. Doesn’t make sense. This doesn’t seem right. I’ve heard priest talk about thief’s who ask forgiveness on their death beds, gangsters who have taken life’s and millions of dollars. If you murder someone your stealing someone’s loved ones yet the murders are forgiven and the Church teaches they go straight to heaven. I’m confused
Yeah I agree I don't think its correct, or Father just didn't explain it fully. I was taught that if you have received absolution and can't make full restitution, you are still saved. You just end spending more time in purgatory.
So by this definition I'm as a white male I'm not required to make restitution or reparations to blacks for the acts of slavery over 150 years ago or segration I had no direct hand in. That I'm only responsible for my action it harming or taking from others. I bring this up now because socially there is currently discussions of restitution and reparations for slavery foolishly being demanded of the current white population of the united states.
Robert Sullivan how has slavery harmed the blacks in America? Remember the analogy Fr. Ripperger used regarding stealing $5 from Bill Gates versus stealing $5 from a widow?
I'd wager most of the modern people spouting that crap are haters of God and hell bound anyway, so keep that in mind as you ponder on what value their ideas hold.
We love you Fr
This is truly a gift from heaven.

I’m not quite clear on why he says you don’t have to make restitution to the state?
I heard that too .. have you ever figured that one out ?

Student loans can’t be defaulted on or be wiped away by bankruptcy. So they’ll have to pay them back

Always hope. Please pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet, and the Diary of St Faustina Kowalska. Remember, St Dismas went straight to Heaven
I will say a prayer for you. God bless you

God is surely merciful to those who show mercy to others.
This is terrifying.
@@Recusant_ That "without restitution one cannot enter Heaven" part is terrifying, as I find myself in danger.
@@standev1 I believe that is what purgatory is for
