LOVEBITES studio tracks are incredible, but they just leave me in total disbelief with these live performances. Their commitment to technical execution live is unmatched. 🤘🐺🤘

This song was on some metal magazine list of 10 best power metal songs of 2020. Totaly deserved. Miyako said that she wanted a song where she and Midori would be tapping together in the center of the stage so she wrote music and they practiced for some time for that solo which we all love now. Gotta love that dedication of M & M to their craft

Yes Miyako said she composed this piece to make sync tapping with Midori as showcase. This solo is incredible insanely awesome. 🎸🎸🤘🐺😎

I should imagine that there are a lot of people eagerly awaiting your reaction to Lovebites' new bass player. She's called Fami and she has her own TH-cam channel under that name with something over 56 million views. So far we've only seen her with Lovebites in a short, introductory live studio version of "Bravehearted" but there is plenty of her solo bass work on her channel to get a measure of her ability. Judging from her solo work, she has a rather different style from Miho and this has led many fans to speculate that the band might move in a slightly different direction to accommodate that style. She's very young (just 20 years old) but her talent is undeniable. I do hope that you check her out. I think we would all be very interested in a professional bass player's opinion of the band's new choice.

LOVEBITES - Signs of Deliverance lyrics:
    Locked inside of the dark
You can't see me with your eyes
    A prisoner of your past
You're so far away from me
    Hiding will not save you
You're just drowning in your dreams
Close your eyes and feel your heart
    Cause our time is limited
    A trivial fatalist
    Rusty activist
All you do is breathe out poison
Like a ghost with no place to go
Can you hear? This is my word
    Brave until the end
    In this moment, we're alive
Even though the sadness will never fade
    Brave until the end
    I won't cry for yesterday
I am here, and I will go on living day to day
    We are all in solitude
    Even with a fragile heart
Your true face under a mask
No one knows who you really are
    A trivial fatalist
    Rusty activist
All you do is breathe out poison
Like a ghost with no place to go
Can you hear? This is my word
    Brave until the end
    In this moment, we're alive
Even though the sadness will never fade
    Brave until the end
    I won’t cry for yesterday
I am here, and I will go on living day to day
    SOLO: both
    Brave until the end
    In this moment we're alive
Even though the sadness will never fade
    Brave until the end
    I won't cry for yesterday
I am here, and I WILL go on
    Brave until the end
    In this moment, we're alive
I am here, and I will go on living day to day

Great react David. They have so many great harmonizing solos but this is up there on my list. A much better rating then Dancing with the Devil, which I happen to like. Keep doing you! 🤘🐺

That was an excellent analysis, thanks. I would also wish to see you reacting to Set The World On Fire, one of their best thrash songs imho. I'm kind of surprised this hasn't been done yet on this channel.

Quite an impressive performance. The dual lead show was great to see, they ran thru their paces and showed what their capable of doing. Color me impressed. And a great vocal performance. Looking for a great score on this 1. I throughly enjoyed this song and had a good time at the show.

My highlight in this is Haruna's 8 bell hits in the middle if the solo. Exactly what is needed and why any drummer would want a bell. She toes the line perfect on heavy cymbal use but not to excess. The most interesting drummer in the game. For my money one of the best dual guitar performances ever. Why this doesn't get more love baffles me.

Enjoyed the reaction. This song is probably in my top 5 as Lovebites goes. I just feel drawn to the counter melodies between vocal and guitar. But then I was a huge Iron Maiden fan in my youth. You're right. The inverted tapping is unnecessary, but really impressive. Yes,, it's showing off at it's finest. Have you tried it on bass? Every kid who picked up a guitar in the '80s tried it,....with varying degrees of success of course. The muscle memory in your hand is inverted.....not to mention doing it in perfect sync with another guitarist! Nice work, ladies!

You're easily one of the most in-depth and engaging music reactors/reviewers on TH-cam, so I pay close attention to the basis of your reviews - especially the importance you place on showmanship. I wish you pay equal attention to their "stage presence", which goes beyond "movement." Having discovered this gem alled Lovebites just 4 months ago, I noticed that you did a great disservice to two of their masterpieces: by reviewing either the wrong video (as with Frozen Serenade; their live version of this song is a visual masterpiece), and in the case of Swan Song, you omitted the Chopin Intro - which puts Lovebites in a class by itself. ALSO, I think your reviews of their live performances don't give due emphasis to the fact that these young ladies play up to eighteen (18) of these high-powered, technically difficult and VERY LONG songs ... for over two hours ... and in heels for God's sake! For example, your review of their Thunder Vengeance song, you lamented and emphasized their relative inactivity. I think they played fifteen (15) songs prior to Thunder Vengeance, which first song of their encore. It's intro itself a very creative and intriguing spectacle (note the crowd reaction) ... Even their stiff uniforms in this song was a creative spectacle (the first thing that women reviewers noted), as their outfits were classy and elegant . Lovebites is one of those bands where even the observer "feels exhausted for them when watching their live performances!" . Therefore, it should be obvious that they need to pace themselves and review them in this context. Not many bands, male or female, expend so much total musical energy live - emptying it all on stage ... in heels! For me, Lovebites' "stage presence" is less about their movement, and more about watching them giving their all , for two whole hours, on stage. This is the VERY REASON why I watch your reviews - not because of you jumping up and down like reviewers without much depth, simply craving for attention, but because of the time an energy you put into each review!

Great reaction - when I saw this one was coming up (though much sooner than I thought it was yesterday while when Posting on your Dancing with the Devil reaction) I was really excited and curious to see if a musician such as yourself would find this particular solo as impressive as it seems to a much more musically challenged person such as myself - very glad to confirm it really is that impressive :)

pfff the solo harmonized with the taping part alone deserves a mark of 9 at least.

once again it’s as if that were a requirement that every single song had to fulfill. It sounds like this one had its origins in band jams more so that a concrete lyrical or melodic idea - the lyrics are fine enough in their attempt to draw a line between pessimists who can’t get over the hurt they’ve experienced and more optimistic realists, who acknowledge that the hard stuff they’ve been through will always be there, but believe strongly that it is possible to rise above it. Pretty typical stuff for Lovebites at this point. Musically, it feels more or less copy/pasted from the same basic structure and ideas for riffs and hooks that we’ve heard earlier in the album. My understanding is that the main point of this one was to give Miyako and Midori a solo where they could stand center stage and play the hell out of their instruments together (probably back to back, which automatically makes it 50% more awesome), which I’m sure would make a great live show highlight, but on the record, it’s not standing out to me as much as the other solos have thus far. Lovebites by the numbers is still a hell of a lot more entertaining than the typical song by most bands would be.

A perfect example of a Lovebites 'relentless' song. 😀
Talk about a great example of how Fami, their new bassist has very large shoes to fill, Miho is a big Steve Harris fan so it is apt you made the reference. Through out this song, Miho is all over the stage and entertaining to watch. Seeing her going up to stand next to Haruna brings a tear to my eye, as those days are over.
Obviously the M & M show is always great to watch. Especially when they go to the front of the stage catwalk. As you have mentioned in the past, practice, practice, practice. It allows them not only to play complex solos but they make it a joy to listen and watch. Asami never seems to rest from being that stage General, you refer to. During the guitar duet she was prompting the crowd and walking about making sure the crowd was joining in the show. Not going off stage and grabbing a drink!

I'm wondering whether you would have given them something in the nines if it were one of the first Lovebites songs you listened to. No criticism here, it's natural that each of us grows to expect a certain level of quality from the bands we love and judge based on that expectation, but I think this song is better than some other Lovebites songs that got equal or better scores.
That harmonized solo alone probably is my favourite moment with Miyako and Midori.
I always have to smile when Midori throws in those extra tapped notes during the sweep part at the end just to show off.

Great reaction David. Yes, Steve Harris is always Miho's hero. She emulates him all the time. BTW, I saw Dueling Banjo in the clip. Does Japanese blue grass sound interesting to you? Try this clip by Wagakki Band for your fun th-cam.com/video/WlSVRNAkVXY/w-d-xo.html. It really suggestive of Dueling Banjo of Japanese folk music by smoking solo of Shamisen. And, another blue grass by Lovebites and Dragonforce together, Faming Simulator th-cam.com/video/KnGPZxfOAmg/w-d-xo.html. Enjoy!! Try these before you go bed, you'll have some good sleep.
