  • We pay a visit to Chinese Garden at Jurong Lake Gardens. Step through the Chinese Garden Gate and walk across the White Rainbow Bridge to reach the Main Arch. We pay a visit to the Twin Pagodas and the Cloud Pagoda and other iconic buildings such as the Stone Bridge, the Tea Pavilion and the Bonsai Garden. Another interesting spot within Chinese Garden that we visit is the Cascading Creek.

Thank you for making this trip on my behalf. It allows me to focus on other worthwhile activities. The newly upgraded Chinese and Japanese Gardens look similar to other parks in Singapore, with nothing particularly unique about the changes. Unfortunately, many elements from the past have been lost. I should show you the videos and photos taken at the Chinese and Japanese gardens 20 and 40 years ago so you can compare them. You'll notice a significant difference between then and now. I am disappointed by the architects of these newly upgraded gardens. @2:13 They demolished the original traditional building with a pond and replaced it with a fugly space for restaurants and exhibitions. OMG!

I miss this place because this is where i lived nearby. The place we usually hang out with my son. Closed for sometime and glad to see its finally open. I'll be back soon and will enjoy the place again.

    • @WalkingSingapore

The entrance at the start is the Chinese Garden Gate. It is located next to the PAssion Wave building at Lakeside Garden. The bridge takes you across from Lakeside Garden to Chinese Garden

Yes this garden has lost its original favor. No more Chinese Garden or Japanese Gardens. This is not only mine feelings but many people who were there this morning. None of the signs board has other language except English. 😢
NPark should change the garden name and don't use Chinese Garden just because they retain a few remnants of Chinese culture.

If they can, they will de sinicize the garden completely but it shall be too obvious then! 🤫😅

If they change the name, I am 100% sure you have other complaints to make. It’s FOC, if you don’t like it, just don’t go.

All the people complaining obviously only been to the old gardens like fking once. But still want to give an opinion of something they know nothing about.
