Hiromi is great live. Saw her last year. Been a big fan of her drummer Gene Coye for quite some time. Beast of a player who has worked with lots of top jazz talent (Special EFX, etc..).
im glad she switched. i prefered tony martin, martin valihora, and these older combos she played in. simon philips was musically wise simply not good enough, anthony jackson was very solid, but never anything spectacular happened on bass all the concerts of them that i witnessed.

L'expression "jouer du piano" prend tout son sens en regardant Hiromi s'amuser avec les 88 touches. Un vrai régal de musicalité que je n'avais plus entendu depuis Michel Petrucciani.
