Oh I used to sit for hours at Padgate station as a kid. Didn't have a clue about trains, it was all about the atmosphere of the station for me. I love a good station.
The Guards van at Padgate was bought last year from the Llangollen Railway by the chippy that occupies the station building, the intention being to convert it into a dining room. I used that chippy last year and it was rather wonderful! After eating, I had around forty minutes before my train, so I just sat on the platform, on a gloriously sunny evening, and chilled!

You'll have to Visit Devon and Cornwall one day, we have loads of stunning lines! Typical Northern you work out a itinerary for them to cancel a train on it! Love your personality on your clips and lovely to see another girl that loves trains!!
The red/rusty looking bridge you past entering Manchester was featured in Tim Dunn's The Architecture the railways built. I saw it last year when I was going to Blackpool on the train but unfortunately didn't get a photo of it. Maybe next time. Great video G. Looks like you had fun as always.

You're so infectious Georgia. It's always fun watching your vlog. I visited Patricroft in 1984 when a locomotive (45147) was destroyed in a collision and was dumped in a siding visible from the end of the platform. Facilities were more stark and sparse then.

Irlam is a great station. It has a lot of local history information. At the moment platform 2 is step access only but this will become fully accessible within the next two years.

amazing stuff im loving Eccles even tho i went there on the tram but i also wizzed through Eccles and Patricroft when i travelled from Preston to Manchester via Wigan on the train and its amazing to see deansgate i poped there to film trains for an hour 1 evening after 1 day riding the trams in Manchester also im loving Irlam Keep up the awesome work

Brilliant Video G. :) Those are some lovely stations you've visited in this one, I do remember going through them (except for Eccles) on the way to liverpool on an EMR class 158 last year. I honestly think Manchester United Football Ground station should of been kept open for the football fans. And I'm sorry to hear you lost your card on a train, I would probably be stressing out pretty bad if I were to lose mine. And congrats on completing all the stations in Cheshire. :)

There were still a lot of class 114 type DMUs around then, which I loved then and still do now. Pacers were new things then, and I still have a soft spot for them.
Been to quite a few of these stations n like to get your take on them . Seeing your baby really threw you ..as you did to the girl going down the stairs at Eccles as you were coming up im not sure what she thought when you whipped your knickers out n put them on your head !!!!
