Dan, I used heat time for 5 yrs and it's fantastic, as long as the person looking at the info knows cows cycles and above all looking at and knowing the cows. If you're a stockman, like you are you get to understand it so much better than just possibly a younger person or relief milker etc. Hope it works for you like it did for me. Ps, tea still tastes good outa the vintage mug 😊

Looking forward to seeing a semi long term review of these, in principle they look good. I think you made the right decision going for collars.

Great video, really funny seeing some of those heifer's objecting to being fitted with a collar. Much like unwilling kids not wanting to do something. You have to love cattle and their characters but obviously one has to be careful at times because cattle can be dangerous.
    Top video young man!

Very interesting, I take it you don't use a bull then at all, and I can't remember if you have a cattle brush, but would that be a problem with the collar, the last cow was calm having her collar fitted but the one before was like a bucking bronco 👍👍👍👍.

Hi Dan. I understand that information can be useful, but does this system provide actual benefits over what went before. Yes you can syncronise, and see performance graphs but you have done years without quite sucessfully. This system must have costs attached to both install, monitor and maintain. Is it expensive, and where do you see the actual gains? You must expect to make cost savings in order for the cost of adopting the system to be offset otherwise why spend out. Is it more calves, more milk, or less sleepless nights? Interesting video to watch and well explained. Many thanks.

Don't know a lot about dairy replacements but 41 seems a high percentage of heifers for replacements. Or sell a few of the extras?

Don’t know what they will come up with next. So much done to avoid the bull. Too bad there are not more docile, polled bulls around. Is 60% fertility normal for ai ?
