This is the second form. This form wouldn't be trained until after sufficient skill and body conditioning had been achieved through diligent practice with the first form. The forms are suitable for people greater than 50 years old who are willing to approach it with the appropriate humility and honesty. It will take longer and more care to train up the body and mind, but it's perfectly doable with the appropriate discipline. Start slowly, listening to the body, and do the first form first. It's not enough to just "know" the form in your mind before moving to the second form. Ideally, real progress in reshaping the body needs to have happened before significant work is spent on this second form.
People under-estimate the potential of an older body, but only because most people will not put in the effort required to continue to build and restore the body at those ages.

@@arcfide Very thought provoking from a school that knows about the body secrets.
Is silk reeling the first form ?
Are there doable videos for the 1st. Form ?

@@DeoanandGeer Standing Post and Silk Reeling practice are fairly new innovations intended to help isolate specific concepts in an easier way to teach people who might not have the dedication to work through the first form in a traditional manner. The first form is th-cam.com/video/SuZgYRS2Xok/w-d-xo.html or Laojia Yilu. If you search around, you can find video tutorials from many of the current grandmaster generation on standing post, silk reeling, and first form broken down and discussed. However, I encourage a lot of reading and studying/martial arts experience, or finding a qualified teacher in your area if you want to pursue that. There are a lot of easy mistakes that can cause problems for someone who doesn't have good biomechanical experience in this stuff. Failure to address those issues can lead to injury.

Find good Chen lineage teacher in your area and start with basics, practice regularly. That's it. 1st form Laojia Yilu is enough for most people, it's good for health and has some fajing.
