- This video lecture explains as to why some patients develop new onset obstructive and storage lower urinary tract symptoms all over again after 4 to 6 weeks of a successful transurethral resection of prostate. This video is meant to educate urology residents about this rather common day to day issue.
I see lot of scientific logic in leaving a strip of Urethral mucosa at 12 o’clock to prevent bladder neck contracture and I have myself practiced this over many years but recently in some of my patients BPH recurred from the anterior strip that I left during my previous resection and I had to redo TURP after seven years or eight years . So it is difficult to opine on this
I have seen an anastomatic uroplasty surgery video done by you 5 yrs ago...the same i have gone through and just yesterday catheter was removed.
