NIce work. Clean decisive knife work resulting in crisp accurate cuts. Well designed piece. It is nice to see someone with a gentle knife technique versus very aggressive cutting. Well done and thank you for sharing your work.
I truly admire your carving - especially those fine details like the waist band with its tassels. These carvings remind me greatly and strongly of the monks statues at the monastery of Marienthal in Germany. The monks there wear brown habits. I love to go,there. The guardian always is glad to see me. And the services in the chapel of St Mary are always very special.

I have started this one and am getting to the part where I need to carve the shapes in the robe. Can you tell me the size of the gouge you have used please.
