I attended evening Mass at a Parish in Newcastle, during the homily the Priest commented how they use too have a parade through the local streets, then he said, I wonder why they stopped doing that. Then answering himself he said, oh it must be because its a rainy season. I thought to myself, the parish I normally attend an 1hr and a bit was having a procession today and now I see this wonderful procession in Sydney, which filled me with joy and tears of hope for transformation of the Newcastle /Maitland diocese in hopefully the not to distant future. I was able to attend this beautiful procession from start to end. We didn't notice any interruptions from them. What we noticed was that the turnout was much bigger this year than last year's.
