Heiser has been a wonderful gift from God to open up the Bible and understand it as 1st century Jews. When first lead to him by the Holy Spirit I heard him talking about that mindset. I didn't fully appreciate what it meant until after a couple years of reading and listening. Reversing Hermon was huge and spun my brain for a long time. I can see why the Holy Spirit kept him until my last big step. I would not have learned much or gotten very much meaning in the beginning of my being drawn back to God.
Oh my dear friend, he's full of life and he ain't leaving us until ALMIGHTY GOD is ready for him to go!! I have wept over him in prayer. When I read the news a few months ago it shattered my heart. I had finally found the scholar that had the heart of a shepherd. Surely he wouldn't be taken from us after all of this preparation in the LORD? BUT GOD settled my heart pertaining to him. Growing up I was heavily indoctrinated to believe there was only one true religion on the earth. It called itself the “ truth” and could really only argue its it’s indoctrinated talking points. Through my life, I researched and tried to understand both Christianity and other religions perspectives searching for God to be real to me. One day I decided to start over, try to throw everything out I had learned and let the Scripture speak. Ironically, I found Mike at the same time and I was blown away. The Bible became a journey and gas impacted me in a way I can’t describe. I pray for Mike, his family that the Lords will be done and hope he is here many more years. His work and impact are immeasurable.

Man.. I can not begin to expres what Dr. Heiser's work has done for me, but I will try. I have learned so much from his work and his personality; not afraid to take on the subject I love so much, like weird scriptures, showing the context and the narrative of the Word of God; meanwhile having fun while we're at it. Praying for Michael and his family. Short of a miracle, God is calling home one of the few remaining biblically sound Christian scholars, thinkers and apologists in the world today. The strong delusion is currently in affect, and the Christian Church is barreling headlong into apostasy. God calling warriors of the faith home now, seems fitting in so many ways, as we have already reached a place in God's Biblical timeline, where deception has been allowed to conquer the minds, hearts and souls of the unredeemed, and of the so-called Christians, who have fallen away from the faith.
Thank you Dr Heiser. Your podcast came along at just the right time and the Spirit used it to help lead me to faith in Christ. Hope to introduce myself in person at a future council meeting.
Someone mentioned Mike revealing theological nuggets to them. May I upgrade the nuggets to boulders? He’s an intellectual and giant that brought theology to the masses.
“Jesus gets the stage time” but Jesus said it was better that He left, so the Spirit would work through those who received Him like the He did through Christ. This is the biggest weakness in scholarship today-the lack of pneumatology that resembles 1st century pneumatology. But bit by bit those of the Spirit are learning from the scholars, and many scholars are experiencing the Holy Spirit. The result will be: a world gone mad seeing the gospel of the Kingdom fully preached through a church that “catches up” to where Acts left off in Holy Spirit indwelling and outworking alongside the wisdom and insight from our amazing scholars like Dr Heiser.
I cannot begin to express my gratitude to God for you being his vessel. I might have been flayling out always not quite having the truth of what you have shown in the Bible. I have a real relationship with God.
I would like to say thank you to Dr. Heiser. I have learned a lot about the ancient near eastern languages, culture and geography since being introduced to his teachings. Right now Mike is ready to go home and be with Jesus. Mike can say the same thing that the apostle Paul said before he passed on, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” (2 Timothy 4:7).

"Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?" Can't speak for other Christians but my decision making process tends to fall flat on my face far too many times than I would like. I doubt I'd be aware of it without the Spirit and probably be too busy blaming someone or something else for the sin.
It is important to note that the True Church of God, the New Testament Church was born for the first time 50 days after Christ was resurrected. The Holy Spirit descended on the apostles and all christians need to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the baptism of water
When Jesus breathed on them and said “Receive ye the Holy Spirit” then He was *in* them. At pentacost He baptized and drenched them. Like drinking a glass of water vs going under a waterfall.
1 Peter 1:10-11 KJVS Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you: [11] Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow. These verses indicate that the Old Testament prophets had the indwelling of the Spirit. The following verse brings to my mind the structure of the old testament tabernacle. John 17:23 KJVS I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

Praying for Michael and his family. Short of a miracle, God is calling home one of the few remaining biblically sound Christian scholars, thinkers and apologists in the world today. The strong delusion is currently in affect, and the Christian Church is barreling headlong into apostasy. God calling warriors of the faith home now, seems fitting in so many ways, as we have already reached a place in God's Biblical timeline, where deception has been allowed to conquer the minds, hearts and souls of the unredeemed, and of the so-called Christians, who have fallen away from the faith.
Dr. Heiser, thank you for sharing your beautiful light with the world. I've learned so much from you. God Bless you and your family.

“Jesus gets the stage time” but Jesus said it was better that He left, so the Spirit would work through those who received Him like the He did through Christ. This is the biggest weakness in scholarship today-the lack of pneumatology that resembles 1st century pneumatology. But bit by bit those of the Spirit are learning from the scholars, and many scholars are experiencing the Holy Spirit. The result will be: a world gone mad seeing the gospel of the Kingdom fully preached through a church that “catches up” to where Acts left off in Holy Spirit indwelling and outworking alongside the wisdom and insight from our amazing scholars like Dr Heiser.

I would like to say thank you to Dr. Heiser. I have learned a lot about the ancient near eastern languages, culture and geography since being introduced to his teachings. Right now Mike is ready to go home and be with Jesus. Mike can say the same thing that the apostle Paul said before he passed on, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” (2 Timothy 4:7).

Can't speak for other Christians but my decision making process tends to fall flat on my face far too many times than I would like. I doubt I'd be aware of it without the Spirit and probably be too busy blaming someone or something else for the sin.

It is important to note that the True Church of God, the New Testament Church was born for the first time 50 days after Christ was resurrected. The Holy Spirit descended on the apostles and all christians need to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the baptism of water

Simple question difficult answer. What is worship and how is this accomplished.
When Jesus breathed on them and said “Receive ye the Holy Spirit” then He was *in* them. At pentacost He baptized and drenched them. Like drinking a glass of water vs going under a waterfall.

Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you: [11] Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.
These verses indicate that the Old Testament prophets had the indwelling of the Spirit. The following verse brings to my mind the structure of the old testament tabernacle.
