he was singing with children, this song was designed for children, elvis was always good for kids, i mean this guy could sing for all walks of life, crappy song or not he performed them well, blame the writer not the singer, plus he got paid 1million bucks.refering to paradise hawiian style scene with children. if everyone took the time to really study elvis,s talent from beginning of his career, to end of his life, like i have been doing past three weeks, they would see how brilliant he was a performer, regardless of bad songs, bad movies etc, he performed them well. most of his movies now i think are adorable, yes there were some stinkers also, but doesnt take away elvis,s vocal and physical range. the concert series were wondeful, and yes the odd concert, didnt always perform his best, but all performers have bad concert nights, regardless of reason. in 77 concert he was ill, but even then he still had that beautiful voice, and moments of brilliance, that concert is precious to me, and im sure others, because iit was his final goodbye to the public, though he or us never knew it,its almost as if god planned it. so for those who critcized elvis , for that concert, be grateful that you witnessed the greatest entertainer of all time, like judy garland, their historical, and legendary magnifigance, but more importantly, their humaness and vulnerability. yes, kings and queens shed tears too. god bless them.

He begrudgingly accepted songs given him that he would have rejected outright years earlier. He always finished the work, but in essence Presley had become a hired hand in his own career
