No Triumph on this list? The Street Triple has been arguably the best naked middleweight bike for over a decade. Triumph's Speed Triple was released right around the same time as the first Ducati monster in the early 90s. Seems almost Sacrilegious that neither Triumphs are included here, whereas the Ducati v4 streetfighter is #1 *when all of 5 people have ridden one*. Perhaps I missed it? I only skimmed the video, as its over 20 minutes of reading spec sheets.

As a fan of all things 2 wheels, there were several models that should have made the list. I understand this is your personal list of favorites. The FZ-10/MT-10 is probably one of the best bangs for the buck on the market when it comes to liter nakeds. Also missing are the Tuono, Street and Speed Triples, and the S1000R to name a few. The Bronx? With that said, that is still a great list of options to choose from.
I ride a BMW R1200R. I think it's a naked bike, but with a windscreen and bags you can tour to Alaska. It's a good commuter. It's smooth, well-mannered, produces its power and torque where where it's most useable. Makes 125 (more for the newer ones) and >90 ft/lbs of torque. It handles, has available suspension packages, quick shifter/blipper, Brembo brakes, cruise control, etc. Are bikes like this too boring for your list? Are your listeners better served by seeing the H2, Streetfighter, and MV? Since may first boxer, which I put 150,000 miles on, I have ridden Buell, Yamaha FZ1, Ducati Monster, Triumph Tiger, Suzuki, KTM Duke. Many good bikes, but none compare to the R. Why no attention? I think many others would love a bike like this, don't need to hit triple digits in 2nd gear, never intend to go to the track. There are many of us out there.

why not? At least for me half of the reason to ride a bike is because it looks cool, so when my first time went to a suzuki bike shop with a friend whos a huge fan of suzuki, i passed the whole brand without even thinking, cus its fucking ugly as hell
I think the GSX-S looks sweet...especially the 750. I have a 750 and it gets sincere compliments from complete strangers regularly. Even rolling down their windows to say something at a light.
I agree and then some. F.eks like a week ago I was at a gas station. And a kid asked me to take a picture of my white gsx s750. with him standing next to it.... And from time to time I also get comments from complete strangers. Btw I told the kid(like 11-12 years old) to get on the bike, so that we could do a really cewl photo. His dad, I guess, sat in their car waiting. He was smiling from one ear to the other. The guy doing this list must have shit himself. if I had to do such a list with pants full of crap, I prob also would have done a shitty job. Ive encountered one person(now two) who told me that my bike is ugly. I own a 2020 suzuki gsxs1000 and a 2018 Kawasaki z900 and I think both bike are sharp looking. Yes the Suzuki is overdue for a facelift, but for bang for your bucks you cant go wrong with either one of these two naked bikes.
There’s 3 Yamahas, 2 Hondas, 2 KTMs, 2 Kawasakis and 2 Ducatis on the list. Surely choosing 1 best from every brand would’ve freed up 6 spots for Triumph, Aprilia and even Moto Guzzi.
Great list and good work on this video. I was going to get the KTM1290SD R but instead decided on the GT. Turns out that being able to carry some luggage is a necessity.
I purchased the 2020 1290 R, I would have gone with GT if they would of carried the frame. Believe me when I rode 2019 1290R the new model handel as if it was on rails, also less vibration. Almost similar bikes, but paying double for insurance cause of that Damm R.
@@ross5506 Your comment on the difference in vibration between the two bikes (the R vs the GT) is interesting to me....do you think it is frame related? The engines between the two should be completely identical..unless there is something gearbox related...so perhaps there are some changes in the frame that causes more vibration in the GT?
The Kawasaki Z H2 is my favourite and dream bike and as im 14 i hope to have this in the future nd if i made a list this would be top for sure i just wish it was a bit cheaper but i suppose is is fair enough for how good this bike is
No one mentions the heat coming off the engine. The rider is riding hot iron and no one lets you know these high priced motorcycles do not have space for engine cooling.
Should do a list of best naked bikes that are low maintenance and highly dependable. That would eliminate everything except Honda, Yamaha and Kawasaki. Haha
Do yourself a favor and get one of these over a super sport, I just bought my Z900 Abs and they’re so much more fun than any super sport I’ve ridden, at a fraction of the price 🙌

Since I didn't see the Street Triple all through the video, when you got to the end I thought it was going to be number one. but it ended up not on the list at all. I love that 890 Duke. but there isn't a bike on the list that I wouldn't enjoy riding.
The KTM 890R has a dry weight of 366 lbs. That is only 3 lbs more than the curb weight of the Kawasaki Z400 at 363 lbs. It is 7 lbs lighter than the KTM 790. Damn. the 890 is going to be 1,000-2,000 dollars more than the 790 when is comes out. Why would anyone want to buy the 790?
Great Content, I plan to buy my first bike in over 30 years. Deciding between a Naked or Cafe. Although I will be looking at the little brothers of the Ducati 1200 (the 797) this was helpful.
Got the new 1290 R, yes the craftsmanship is second to none, all bolts are torx and everything is top self components. Except the clutch master cylinder, really digging hard for that one.
I owned a 2018 matte black gsxs1000 and swapped for a 2020 silver with red wheels. For the money you pay I dont think you can lose. I also have a 2018 Kawasaki z900 and if looks could kill, well we wont go there. To be honest ive ridden for over forty years and this is my first Kawasaki and it cant hold a candle to the Suzuki as far as power and handling. But then again im trading my 2015 650 suzuki vstrom for a 2021 Kawasaki Versys 650 and thats because I really like the looks of the Kawasaki and i do more road riding than adventure riding. Only bad thing is we americans only get one color choice and europe gets to pick from three, not cool.
You cant do a list like this and leave the aprilia tuono out... its arguably in the top 3, its one of the best looking and much better value for money than the other 2 italians.

You mean the F 900 R I think .... I own one and made some changes . Tailtidy , mirrors, exhaust , air filter and the handling and torque are amazing ..... Tft is the best in it's class and the safety is top notch . Only one minus ......fuel capacity 😉
As others have commented below....I have the gsxs 1000 and of course I don't think its ugly as sin. I always get surrounded when out and about and asked all the time what bike this is? and complimented on how bad ass it looks.
Triumphs only naked motorcycle at the time is the street/speed triple and I don't enjoy them at all. Ugly looking and terrible sounding. They did not cut it.

Top looks maybe, but the most unreliable and expensive model made #1. Most individuals shopping for a naked bike aren't in line for the Ducati. To keep it constructive I would consider naming this the best looking not top. Good video none the less.

And while on the subject of Kawasaki this compilation is another case for what I interpret as the industries subconscious reaction toward the game changing introduction of Kawasaki’s Super Charger. Then the tide changed to the dumbing down vibe of the ZH2 as the Volkswagen group oiled campaign turned hype for the V4s into mayhem. I had to get one too. I’d like to suggest you spend an hour with the ZH2 and the Streetfighter. Ducati’s genius is in the marketing and obsession to weight management. Kawasaki needs to fight back. Re-calibrate their mindset and bring to market a 450lb supercharged hyperbike with a restricted H2R power plant bellowing at ‘only’ 290HP and a consumer friendly ANY 3 COLOR COMBINATION out of the new Kawasaki Race Custom Division. The widow maker’s price: USD70,000 + option
The Street Triple is long in the tooth at the point that I made this video and honestly, I hate the engine and the looks. The Tuono is barely present in the USA, did not even think about it.
Ehh, none of these bikes tempted me to trade up from my old ZRX1200R. Honestly, how many riders actually go to a closed track? Once a month, a year, or even ever? In this video, no mention of two up riding or loading capability of the bike. I haven't been following the trends (why I watched this video) and it seems that the manufacturers have lost the vision of naked bikes. A practical bike for daily riding with the ability to run in the canyons or cruise the freeways. Better brakes, ABS options, improved suspensions and including advances such as a slipper clutch are great for increased safety riding on the streets.

I'm sick tired of riding big bore superbikes, they have become way to track focus. Now in my mid 50s,I wanted something very comfortable and with lots of torque. After seeing the 2020 KTM 1290 Super Duke R at bike show doing research on it, still wasn't sold on it's looks, well the looks do grow on you. This bike is mean, that's why called the beast. At over 260 pounds this bikes throttle wheelies in 3rd gear. Perfect bike for city and canyon carving. So comfortable, your butt never hurt and lots of leg room. Just for people that know V-twin, it's so much more refined than Ducati 1199, I was surprised on the lack of vibration when in around 4500 rpm. It's only drawback KTM milk you for every cent, just have look in there power parts catalog.

you snubbed the triumph 765 based on your opinion of the looks of it, all I can say is to each their own but do better. as many of the comments have all-ready stated I ditto the fact that you should really reconsider how you make these lists.
For a list this long, to not have the MT10 or the Street Triple, (two bikes I have yet to see a poor review on), just seems ludicrous, especially considering you have a 300 on it. Sure glad I was doing something else while this vid played.

The best motorcycle (for 2020) was on the market already. Alas, You do not mention it. And, marketing aside, it's the engine and chassis/suspensions that counts when a motorcyclist thinks. I maybe be wrong. I'm thinking that a V4 with a rigid aluminium chassis and fair suspensions beats all the models You presented here. Say "Tuono" 1100 cc V4.

Wow, what a list. So many exotic bikes both in technology and looks. I've been riding a speed triple for many years which is still a joy to ride.

I am an Aprilia Tuono 1100 factory owner and after riding most of the bikes in your list , I think Aprilia tops them as a complete package.

I think the bike is okay, a bit long in the tooth, but like the other BMW bikes on the list, a bit lackluster. Especially in the visual department.

Suprised the Triumph street triple rs or speed triple rs aren't in the mix as well as tuono V4 factory from Aprilia.
The Street Triple is long in the tooth at the point that I made this video and honestly, I hate the engine and the looks. The Tuono is barely present in the USA, did not even think about it.

Ehh, none of these bikes tempted me to trade up from my old ZRX1200R. Honestly, how many riders actually go to a closed track? Once a month, a year, or even ever? In this video, no mention of two up riding or loading capability of the bike. I haven't been following the trends (why I watched this video) and it seems that the manufacturers have lost the vision of naked bikes. A practical bike for daily riding with the ability to run in the canyons or cruise the freeways. Better brakes, ABS options, improved suspensions and including advances such as a slipper clutch are great for increased safety riding on the streets.

I'm sick tired of riding big bore superbikes, they have become way to track focus. Now in my mid 50s,I wanted something very comfortable and with lots of torque. After seeing the 2020 KTM 1290 Super Duke R at bike show doing research on it, still wasn't sold on it's looks, well the looks do grow on you. This bike is mean, that's why called the beast. At over 260 pounds this bikes throttle wheelies in 3rd gear. Perfect bike for city and canyon carving. So comfortable, your butt never hurt and lots of leg room. Just for people that know V-twin, it's so much more refined than Ducati 1199, I was surprised on the lack of vibration when in around 4500 rpm. It's only drawback KTM milk you for every cent, just have look in there power parts catalog.

For a list this long, to not have the MT10 or the Street Triple, (two bikes I have yet to see a poor review on), just seems ludicrous, especially considering you have a 300 on it. Sure glad I was doing something else while this vid played.
If you watched it or not, TH-cam thinks you did. So thanks for that view 👌🏻. As for your MT10 and Street Triple debate, there are better MTs in the line-up in my oppinion and the Street Triple is absolutely hideous and I did not enjoy that engine at all. That’s why it’s not on my list.

This is what I was referring to. The info on it is appreciated, but people have to leave your channel to Google an image of the bike. You never get to fully see the bike in your video. Just flashes.
