I don't know why the game was giving you so much trouble. I came here from watching IGP play it (his video went up a few days ago) and he had an incredible time playing it. If you feel up to it maybe try it again, it may have been updated since you played it. Also there's a very handy compass now in the game.

It's all been worthwhile to watch and really immerse myself and feel like I'm there with him experiencing the scenery, the horror, and the funny moments, never stop Fusion. what was going on with the whole battery thing in the cabin was the one already IN the kitchen was dead, and you were suppose to replace it with the charged battery. that's why your inventory kept coming up, because you were suppose to have the new battery in your inventory to select and use to replace the dead one
