    Great Video. the time step method schema that you have shown, is it applicable for both linear and non linear THA, as I have noticed the term "effective stiffness" that you have mentioned in that slide . if it is so then is it to be solved by Newmark's direct integration? As far as I know Wilson Theta method is normally used for the linear THA)

      Thank you for your interest in the topic. (1) The time step analysis shown in the video is for the Linear system. This is because we have considered spectra for linear oscillators here. (2) "Effective stiffness" here is not secant stiffness. It is real stiffness + impact of mass and damping on stiffness, as used in the analysis procedure. (3) The Newmark direct integration method is applicable to both linear and nonlinear cases; of course with some alterations in the procedure. (4) Yes, Wilson's method is basically for linear cases.... You may refer AK Chopra, and, Bathe and Wilson.
