I have a mechanical Bernina 1090S. Bought in the early 90s. I love it. Never have had any problems with my machine. I wouldn't trade it for anything. It sews like a pro.Listed on eBay used for $840.00. I highly recommend this machine and Bernina products.
Wow! Wow! Wow! I can't stop saying Wow! while I watch your videos they are that information pack!!!! I'm scared to sew bags on a sewing machine because they never can handle the bulk. But this Bernia had no trouble at all! Do you recommend this sewing machine for bag sewing? Thank you had fun learning and watching !!
Oh... I have been sewing for a long time, self taught, experiencing problems every now and then. Not once have I reflected on that take up lever tie any not... I really need to take a basic class in sewing I think. I have a Bernina 1020 and even though it makes much more noise than yours I am really happy with it.
@@cazkiwinz4300 I am doing that alla the time, every time I put in a new bobbin. But I actually think that the machine doesn't do good with my thread (Serafil 40). I am not sure but I think it might be either to thick because it works much better with 60 or maybe a combination of the thickness of the thread and the way it is spun because it twists.
Definitely could be. My Bernina is fairly fussy and only likes Gutterman Sew All and hates all my fun cheap thread…whereas my cheap plastic basic Brother machine is the total opposite!

I have an industrial now for bagmaking.....but I adore my Bernina 1010 too, it’s an all-metal workhorse
WOW!!! Fantastic!
Man you are the best.
Great techniques! I use them myself but I think you’ve got me beat 😉. I sew often on my vintage Bernina’s.
Thank you! Great tips.
PURE EXCELLENCES!!!!

You probably just need to oil the bobbin race, these machines are lovely when they’re oiled 🤗

By the way, on my machine - if I press the gas pedal with my heel the needle goes down or up - it does one up or down movement.
