I owned a 77 rd400 just like the one of the video, I installed a Dyna 3 electronic ignition to replace the points and condenser. Started 2nd kick every time.
non pas pour l'instant et de toute facon il faut mettre 1500$ sur le moteur ( si tu le fais faire par un concessionnaire) il faut deux pistons oversizer les cylindres, axes de pistons peut etre les connecting rods bearrings pour bien faire et gaskets de base et de tete. mais il y a un rd 400 1977 silver en bon état a vendre a trois rivieres (123 km de montreal) sur kijiji.ca pour 1700 $
That poor bike engine has major top end issue you can hear that when trying to start it, dame engine it so tight it will not run and you rides it like a child on a kiddies bike less rpm. When you rev these engine and drop throttle you also cut the oil from pump this does major damage to engine, the throttle in idle just suppies enough oil for idle speed not full rpm. i use to race the rd 350cc when i was a teenager and have seen many fools like this come off bike due to engine failure.

That motor has 5:1 compression at best... rebuild that poor thing, or sell it.
