:44 fun fact about that conversation... Moon Knight can actually wield the hammer. Not because he is worthy, far from it, but because the hammer is made from moon rock. This can be seen in the Age of Khonshu comic series when he wields the hammer against Thor.
I gotta be honest. After the effort the Disney+ show put into portraying his DID as realistically and as sympathetically as possible, I’m not sure how I feel about them taking him in the more “oh him? That’s just wack job Mark, don’t pay him much mind” direction in the game.
I mean... even in the show the only ones who believe that khonshu is real and Marc isn't insane are the ones who already knew about Khonshu and Marc's condition (Layla and Arthur), everyone else just sees him as the crazy guy in white beating people senseless.
I wanna say something about how it depends on how the narration sees it,but considering Thor & Hela's responses,it's not that far off from the show's direction
Nah. Turning Jake from the friendly cabbie with a heart of gold into the evil alter trope is borderline insulting to DID. Also Oscar Isaac sucks at improv, the whole point of DID is to not know who's fronting. It isn't making characters with accents and roleplaying as them until they become real. Take the evil alter troupe back to fight club. If anything the show was blatant character assassination and rewrote 3/5ths of the character (Steven, Jake, Mr Knight) as something entirely different. Also the voicelines in Rivals are cringe and don't fit his personality at all. It reads like someone looked at memes and the wiki and then went, "he's cuckoo crazy! That must be it! Oh, and make him talk about moons all the time!"
@@nolaz010 a friend of mine has DID and at times it is absolutely possible to tell who's fronting, not for all of them but for the sake of the show it does make sense to make all of them distinct. They felt really seen by the show's depiction, especially when they show the moment that Steven first manifested and the acknowledgement/reconciliation between alters. They saw Jake not as an evil alter but more as a protector that's putting himself on the line and subjecting himself to the dirty work that would be too much for Marc or Steven.
@@nolaz010 There's nothing to show Jake is evil in the MCU. He's just the better killer and works with Khonshu. Also the dialogue fits Moon Knight cause he is a silly character at the end of the day. @SteveBeef-n2j As of the Age of Khonshu arc in Jason Aaron's Avengers, Khonshu is very much real and tried to take over the world using Marc. That plot point is officially dead. The Moon Knight run following it is great, though.
Moon Knight can lift Mjölnir because "Uru is the metal of the first moon.", and also can lift Mjölnir in Fortnite because of this. I think Mr Knight can too because it's specifically the MCU* version, and in that they're separate alters but both powered by Khonshu.
