I've just started watching your videos and felt compelled to comment as I have been enjoying them SO much! I ACTUALLY DID...EXACTLY WHAT YOU DO...FOR OVER 35 YEARS! Yep...over three decades. I started "booting" in 1982 actually. I have literally walked around PROBABLY A THOUSAND boot sales! I originally started off selling at antique markets in and around London, like Bermondsey and Portobello. Did that for over probably 20 years. Selling just my boot sale buys. Then in 2002 I started an Ebay shop, from which I sold to all over the world. I have literally sent hundreds of parcels to all corners of the globe. Had a very good living out of it until about 2017, when my knees finally gave way and I had to have both knees replaced. For years and years, I would tramp around up to 4 boots on a Saturday, up to 10 on a Sunday, and several throughout the week. Exactly the same as you do...back and forth to the car...over and over again. In the end...my knees just crumbled by the time I hit my late 50s, and I was never the same after that. Completely retired from it now. Havnt been to a bootie in about 4 years. But...I miss it SO MUCH! I just can't physically do it anymore now at 63 and with numerous physical ailments. The thing that REALLY fascinates me about your videos is HOW DIFFERENT the stuff is that re-sellers buy now...compared to when I was doing it. In "my day"...80s/90s/Noughties...we were ONLY looking for old school antiques really. Very few people seeked out the sort of pop culture collectable that now seems to be the mainstay for re-sellers. I would never in a million years have even bothered to look at things like...trainers...or...film memorabilia. How times change! In some ways...I kid myself that I could still do it...and I imagine myself running around at the crack of dawn...exactly like you do, and exactly how I did...for four decades of my life. I absolutely lived it... And my life hasn't been the same since I stopped it. 😞 But...your videos have brought it all back to life for me! So...thank you so much 😊
This is such a beautiful but sad story at the same time 🙏🏻 maybe get a scooter I know mobility scooters are not the best of thing to use but if it gets you out to a boot sale then that’s all that matter. Just have a little mooch around and see what you find 👌🏻
This is a brilliant comment! Love it. Sorry to hear you're unable to go to the car boots anymore but like others said, have you thought about a mobility scooter? The car boots near me are mostly on concrete not in fields so not sure if that's an option near you! Enjoyed reading your story :)
When you open those percolator’s check under the top part that the large washer/o-ring is still there otherwise a bugger to use. I always pick up the Bialetti ones when i see them.
Top tip for you …..carry a few bungee cords to strap stuff in place when your trolleys about to spill over 👍great video as always surprised you didn’t pick up the Captain Scarlett figure with the drinks cups ….
A guy at my local car boot . Has 3 TDK sealed cassette tapes £7 sticker on them . Been on his table all car boot season 😂 surely you’d realise after week one they ain’t gunna sale at that price . Lovely pick ups 👌🏻Jay
Little Basil Brush is £3 … cos it’s her collection?… 😂 some people man! If that was in our thrift store it’d be tossed in the 50p box because he’s small! He’s from a collection, he’s not a collection on his own. He’s just a small toy 😆 altho maybe come by our thrift store we know nothing about toys n stuff we just toss small ones in the 50p box or 20p basket and most teddys are £1 unless they’re big. Especially when I’m in the back because I can’t be bothered to keep carting a bunch of toys up stairs I’ll always try toss them in the 50p box whenever I can to save the trip upstairs haha
Very true, but the vast vast majority are pretty worthless unless in amazing condition, so you gotta REALLY know your stuff if you wanna make any money off them (or manage to get a whole box for really cheap)
i would of got the dms depends when they were made but they don’t make steal toes anymore they was very high quality so for the working man there great funny enough i work in a wearhouse and resell and i want a pair lol but hard to find
My hoover vacuum has a separate button I have to push didn't realise til was showing my friend roller , wasn't going round, and pushed button behind on or off button and it started turning

The roller works when you push the vac?
No it should spin when the head is uncoupled from the handle
