You're right, it's Jerry Nolan, Billy Rath and Sylvain Sylvain, of the New York Dolls. Sylvain is the one who taught Johnny to play guitar, before the Dolls. So Johnny formed a band, named Actress, for a short period before the Dolls. Johnny used to be a beginner for bass playing, until Sylvain showed him the basics of guitar playing

There so much footage out there but not available. Why why why. Tons of gigs recorded but only get the odd track from them. So damned annoying. Makes me a little sad. It's like having the winning lottery ticket but the machine to cash it has been broken and can't ever be fixed.

IF YOU DON'T GET THIS, IF YOU DONT GET IT, THEN YOU NEVER EVER WILL, AND ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT. NOT A MANUFACTURED PIECE A BULL SHIT. RIP JOHNNY.
The tones real jangly, yeah when he's playing the chorus (slylvain) it's G and E and he's not playing that, thunders propally showed him the songs on the plane lol.
Great performance. Terrible camerawork, except for part where they showed some of the audience. Otherwise, cameras jumped all over the place; never showed Johnny's guitar, etc
The mid 80's was a horrible period for music. About 10 years after punk exploded on the scene. By this point the greats like the Dolls were either almost nodding out on stage from junk or they were dead.
I know its hard for little fan boys to face the truth but this does suck, really. I saw the dolls a few times in the early seventies and they were so much better than this poser crap.
They probably had technical issues. Anyone that knows the history of rock and roll know that Johnny Thunders at times played as great as any rock musician ever, especially the bands he was in. He was a guitarist first, singing was incidental.
Epic song brings back memories playing Tiffany’s Coventry supporting The Clash 1977
I used to see the heartbreakers at maxs 1976-1982 Sometimes the best band in the world
Sometimes johnny couldnt walk
Always a great time Rip master
Buah!!....The Heartbreakers

Never seen this one; thanks for the upload. Looks like the great Jerry Nolan on drums and maybe Billy Rath on bass. Very cool!

I dig how Syl blindly bounced his way through this song.
How many musicians we know copied his style? Sooo many.
Great quality visuals! :)
I love ❤️ Johnny Thunders.......Mistress
So cool he covered this.
Johnny was never punk. Johnny was pure rock and roll
I like him same reason I like Mick Jagger. They play with that junkie slop.

wow this song is missing from most EL EDAD MAdrid (whatever) shows ive seen, inclluding my coy.are there more hidden tracks of that show?
Where's the rest of this show?
I don't get what Syl is doing w/ his hands or whatever kind of chords he is playing. Sounds like Lou reed or something.
Nice Telecaster though.
copy of a telecaster
Syl never had any style. This is evident the way he’s playing in this song.

i would appreciate if this was written in english ut nevermind ::D
Did JT ever make an attempt to clean up??
Yes , he did. Reportedly , some attempts lasted longer than others.
That second guitar sounds shite, is that sylvain
i think he has it tuned very low

Jason Colley heheh yeah you are right, it sounds like an elephant farting
Ha ha, cool song any way, thinking of covering it in my band?
Jason Colley yeah, pretty cool song, you should post a cover from you and your bamd
It's sad , i saw him at this period, he was realy playing for buying heroin...
I think he is clean of H that year....

38...
yesĺ
People paid money to see this?
Fuckin drunk..junked out stoned out of it....still better than most !
It would help if he sang in the same key the other musicians were playing in.
Marcillio Ficino i expect that's quite difficult when you're off your face.
TomRB 97 - True... that would definitely explain his difficulty.
listen to the london boys choir if you want shit on key
Mau
Dexys Midnight Runners crossed with Spinal Tap
The guitar sound could have been better.
the TELE sounds awful - maybe...
What a boring audience …..
The mid 80's was a horrible period for music. About 10 years after punk exploded on the scene. By this point the greats like the Dolls were either almost nodding out on stage from junk or they were dead.
