Hi Haniela! I love these, seems like there is something for everyone, and as always you make it look so easy 💜 Do you use multiple bags with a different consistency, or bags cut smaller for piping? Seems like when you outline, and pipe, it appears thicker. Or does it just appear that way, and it's just one consistency for each color? Thank you! Can't wait to try some of these! I especially love the lady bug with the spreaded wings 🐞
Thank you.It really depends on the design. For flooding I usually go with 15 second for outline and flood and then I use the scribble tool to smooth the icing. For little piped details I like icing that is a bit thicker. Lady bug is my favorite, too.
Faster icing dries shinier it can get, I air dry my cookies and I have a fan running close by to promote air circulation it helps speed up the crusting and drying process.
Hi Hani, nice to see you again. I wanted to tell you thank you not only for your videos and for such a great job but the Music that is playing is very enjoyable unlike some of the other channels. There are some on the channels that have a variety of designers that are quite good but the Music that is selected is just plain wrong for what is going on. I have made comments before and I have seen others make comments but the company doesn’t seem to understand or care or both, whatever, but I listened to the station the other thinking it had changed because there was a nice song on, but moments later the terrible music returned and the channel is off for good. I had put it on mute but I can still hear the music on my IPAD. I really feel sorry for the people that are paying to have there videos on that particular station because if I am dropping them, I’m sure there are others that have also left. It’s a real shame when the agents do not listen to the customers. Your music is very nice and puts me in a relaxed environment so I can work more efficiently and before I know it, the order is done and ready to get picked up. Are you going to go on any of the cake decorating shoes like Marlyn did. It was sad that she didn’t win but when I saw that she didn’t use Christmas colors, well I was worried that she wasn’t going to make it. I would love to see you on the show as well, Please!!! You could really Kick some hiney, Hani! I will vote for you (even though it doesn’t count). Thanks again for all your help. Jill
Hi Hani, When you were drawing out the “LOVE” design transfer, were you using parchment paper or Acetate sheets to copy the design on? I have tried to find the Food safe Acetate and found it on Amazon but it’s a fortune! Will Parchment paper work for a beginner for this project if all else fails? I love these designs, the love blocks Cookie, I made a quilted Wallhanging years ago similar to this but mine had Teddy Bears on it also. Glad to see this. Thanks for showing them all. Irish Jilli
Hi Jill, I used wax paper. Yes they can be little pricey. The only drawback is that moisture from the icing tends to curl up wax paper making the surface of royal icing transfer little uneven so at times it maybe little finicky to attach on a cookie especially if doing dry on dry application. With dry on wet like this you can play with it a little add little more icing here and there to make it even when you are applying transfer. Hope it makes sense. Thank you Jill.
