I remember going to old farm auctions years ago and a lot of the old iron tools were going for 1 to 2 dollars. They had to hold up hands full of tools to get over a dollar. Now people are revisiting the manual tools and look what happened. There are still some gems out there but you really have to look to find a deal.

Is that an Amish owned store? Right area for it. I'm over the border from that neck of the woods. It's hard to buy antique tools (axes, slicks, ect) at auction in western PA. Now I see why. LOL. Guess I will have to make a trip.

This store makes me both, the happiest I have ever been in my life and the most hatred I’ve ever felt as well - happiest: because this exists, it is beautiful, and I could spend a lifetime looking at everything including the axes- and would go through them multiple times. Hatred: because it’s not in NY but Ohio and I would have to file chapter 9, divorce, loose my kids and be disowned by my family- as it’ll drain my every emotion and wallet, bank account, 401k, pension, everything…but at least I’d be happy in my workshop!

Prices range from $25 to $150 is. Lots in the $40 to $60 range

@@KillingerUSA Yeah, it was nice in SW Missouri, I was able to do more than I should have and am paying for it now with back pain. That's what happens with age, keep that in mind with your plans moving forward. I now understand why my Dad couldn't or wouldn't do certain things with me even though I would do all the work all those years ago. There is a line that you really can't physically cross that you don't see when you are younger. I did things alone because of it and I'm lucky I survived several of them, my friends actually got mad at me several times! I just couldn't stop myself during those years. Look after your family and provide as you should, the rest will settle out in the end.
